There is an old story about a man who rows people across a river in a small boat. I've always wanted to be that man.

Will you tell me the story? I might want to be that man too. Do people make him sandwiches?

I understand what you are looking for, to find that person you were before the "bad stuff" happened. For me, after the divorce, I made a list. I know it sounds lame, but it works. I still add stuff to that list. My first list started out with stuff like, go play putt- putt, ride a Harley and go to a movie by myself. ( stuff I wasnt allowed to do when I was married.) Another item on the list was, What did you do that made you proud of yourself today? Even if it was only one thing, it helped me to learn that I wasnt stupid, worthless and undeserving of love. Now that I have gone back to school, I am back to that question, What do I want to be when I grow up. Sad thing is that there are too many choices to pick from. LOL Good luck.

Vasudeva is the ferryman's name.

"Vasudeva listens well, since this is what the river has taught him to do, replying to Siddhartha that the river is Siddhartha's friend and likes him."

This is probably my very favorite book ever.

Let's see....the woman I want to be.....hmmmmmnnn

I want to be hot and assertive with a bullet shaped bra and a stage show so dangerous that roadies get killed on tour.....wait a minute...that's Madonna.
