Besides the natural spiritual gifts or sense we have, what do you feel
about sorcery, witchcraft or those who believe they have power by
certain rituals and practices?

There is a consciousness around beliefs - an energy. If you grew up in
a culture that for generations has believed in hexes and curses, they
would be real for you.

People have died because they believed a curse had been placed upon them
or because they had been looked upon with the 'evil eye'.

Our perceptions create our reality. Our thoughts and beliefs create our
reality.

We are not just victims roaming around having things 'done' to us. We
are empowered co-creators of our lives and of our collective world.

Any concept under the sun is real if it is real 'to you'.

Hmmmm...the mind, when allowed to focus, is a powerful tool.

The 'gift' of perception, and projection, is also a powerful tool, when
harnessed in a healthy and positive way, can work wonders.

'Energy', love, (for want of a term) when spread out, pushed out, and as
an example, your thoughts, and well wishes, (or prayers) for someone in
a dark place, are they not also a form of 'magic'? (not a great
word)...in that the light, the positive energy, the love, you channel to
someone in need, is a real energy, I believe, with all intents of
holding, supporting and protecting that person?


Power of thought, I believe is one of the powerful energies, especially,
when one acts as a conduit, to the higher energies of the universe...

And their are those that may use these energies for less than positive
methods.

There is light and dark in all of us, it is which one we choose, and
it's intents and purposes that may be good, or not so good.

As to evil...hmmm...it's out there, as in evil, intent to harm.


Rituals, we all have them, in our day to day life, the way we shower and
groom ourselves, the times that we eat, and the things we do in our day.

Wow you ladies are DEEP. That's why I love topics like
this. I can learn from people

I only know what I know, and what I learn from experiences, and hunting
for understanding, and sometimes accepting that things just are...

(That's the hard one for me, allowing the differences...as you've
probably noticed )

exactly boredchick! We always choose...our thoughts, our alignment, our
intention, our actions ...we choose and we experience and we
create...

Yeh I think coping with differences is a weakness for everyone
especially if it is about something touchy.

Well if it is a 'touchy' subject for you you can allways just ignore it.

Or laugh at it.

I've practiced magic,not the silly card trick type.Things can happen,
but only if you open your mind to it and truly believe in it. No I never
had an evil intent,because whatever you put out in this world comes back
to you good or bad and who wants bad crud comin back on em, not me thats
for sure.

Should you meet a person with some of these spritual gifts how than
would you treat them?

I have a possibly supernatural experiance that happened to me, but I
don't remember it.

I was between two and three years old. I was in a grocery store with my
mother and my aunt Joyce. I went up to my aunt Joyce and kept bothering
her, saying I had to tell her something. When she finally said "What do
you want?", I said "My friend Jack wants me to tell you that he's happy
and he wants you to be happy." She asked if she could talk to my friend
Jack and I replied "No silly, he's dead."

Backstory: My aunt Joyce is Catholic and so was her deceased husband
Jack. He died before I was born. Weeks before the incident, my whole
family was celebrating Christmas together. Everyone was talking about
Jack and how much they missed them and my aunt Luana said "Jack was a
nice man, too bad he's burning in hell." (Luana is a pentacostal and
believes that only pentacostals go to heaven.) My aunt Joyce was
contemplating suicide when the incident in the grocery store happened
and what I said convinced her to move on with her life and get married
again.

Sometime later, my aunt was cleaning out her purse and pulled out a
picture of Jack (whom I had never seen before). I immediately laughed
and said "That's my friend Jack!".

Like I said, I don't remember any of this, I only know what my mother
and aunt told me about what happened.

AB it depends. If they were soliciting their services or abilities for
money I would want them to leave me alone.
