Topic: ooh oooh she's in sooo much trouble! | |
---|---|
I just got a call from the vice principal at my daughter's school. She forged my initials and the teacher's initals on a reading log she was supposed to turn in. NOW she has a sat detention, which means I also have to get up at 730 on my sat off and take her to detention and then pick her up. Needless to say, tonight is not going to be a very fun night for this kid.

I think I'm gonna call the school and have then tell her I'm picking her up instead of riding the bus home. And then... NOT speak the entire way home. She's expecting me to yell at her... so that will throw her off.

OOOHHHHH I remember when I got the silent treatment from my mom, she only gave me those looks that told me I was in such hot water, but never said a word....
Just hearing you planning on doing the same, boy that will scare the pants off her... |

Kids will be kids and the teachers with their superior should grow more skin as they blow complaints of proportion nearly all the time . |

did she do the reading?

Good for the school, and for you.

did she do the reading? That's a good question. I know if I was so stupid to forge the initials it would have been because I didn't do it. And my parents would have made me read it AND sit down and write a multi-page report to them, as well as the teacher. |

I think its funny as he-l! pat her on the back and tell her she did a good job in trying to get one over. Good practice for the real world i would think??

ah, i remember the one time i got saturday detention, best thing that ever happened to me, got to sit next to and talk to a pretty girl

Guess it really depends on the age of the kid how I would react but cheating at school should have some serious consequences. least something that gets across the idea that she didn't just make a liar out of herself but you too.
My kids would always rather me get mad because when they got the silent treatment they knew it was going to a whole lot worse before it got better. lol You are lucky the school is on the ball and told you what happened. Go out for a brunch while she is setting in detention with your other kids if you have more. That will really get her goat. or hit Walmart's early before all the Halloween candy is sold off then don't let her have any. |

Shopping Without her?? |

That will hurt worse than grounding or yelling.. That's funny I know that would get my 16 year old right in the craw! Shopping Without her?? |

I have always thought creative punishments that look like natural consequences is soooooh much better than grounding which just punishes me more than anyone. Yelling is a waste of breath.
