gawd that drives me insane. I'll admit I need to work on my social skills but it doesnt help if I can't hold a conversation with someone.

Yes....this totally bugs me. there was someone recently I was mailing back and forth and they would never ask me one question simply answer mine. I couldn't tell if it is just a shyness or if they really aren't interested?

what bugs me is people who can't stand to allow a a few minutes of silence. You can just see their minds working to think of something to talk about. usually someting inane and trivial

No. I think its retarded when someone approaches me with supposed convo, and THEN sits there with nothing to say, expecting ME to carry the whole thing.

Either they didnt want to talk in the first place or they just are clueless as how to communicate, neither of which is MY problem.

You should try having conversations with yourself and see how long you can keep it up. If you cant, dont be a hypocrite. If you can, well now you dont need to rely on anybody for a good laugh.

Guess if your definition of "fun conversation" isn't fun to her. Women do have choices about who they want to talk to.

Maybe she is trying to give you a chance to come up with a conversation she is willing to join into. Or giveing you a lady like hint to move on without telling you what you have said so far is lame or she is not into you.

I love to talk but some guy starts a conversation with "What are you doing?" When it is obvious I am on line or something overtly complimentary what are you going to say that doesn't come out vain except Thank you? It helps to ask open ended questions.
