Sorry for the ugly words, it was a reflex action. People who insist on

Any guy that gives me an ultimatum about changing anything about
myself...I'm assuming he meant he would leave her...If she didn't get it
done....BUT you're right Lee...She was stupid for getting it done......

I see what you are talking about daily River. My one neighbor has done
many things to keep her hubsand happy. When she doesn't do what he
wants, he has another affair, and flaunts it in her face. She began with
a breast reduction, that kept him faithful for a year. Now she has lost
over 80 pounds because he said she was too heavy to ride the Harley with
him. A beautiful woman who was happy go lucky,and self confindent is now
haggard looking, and rarely smiles.

I cant believe someone would be so shallow as to tell the woman who is
the mother of your children, or anyone for that matter to get plastic
surgery.

What a world we live in today.

I agree klugman, it's a sad commentary on the world today when people
allow shallow superficial prejudices to influence their judgement and
their treatment of their fellow human beings. Personally, I'd rather be
single forever than put up with that kind of crappy treatment from
anybody.

Hey, after bearing his children and putting up with his bull if he asked
me to have surgery and he is paying, I'll get the surgery and bring back
to its place everything that gravity took a toll on. And I will dump his
ass, sue him (I don't know on what grounds, I am sure a cunning lawyer
will help me), make him pay a lot for child support and alimony, never
get married again (myself) and go live my life... traveling, museums,
books and concerts, and stay home to raise my kids...

Not a bad bargain, beautiful kids, money, my body back, and still sharp
of mind... Yeah, I'll do it!

Jess! You caught me. It seems to be a theme here at JSH for someone to
share their view on some interpersonal events, and we all focuses on one
part of the story and thoroughly bash the 'evil person.' We get so
caught up in our self-righteousness that we don't take a step back. I
didn't post on this topic, but I *was* thinking the exact same thing as
most of the other posters until I came to your 'reality check' post.
