but i was thinking along the lines of a man saying this to a woman (who was in fact wearing a shirt ) i'm wondering if that's a pick up line or if he's just got an eye for women's fashion.  |

I wouldn't think of it as a pick up line but perhaps a safer way for him to initiate conversation.
And some guys just notice that stuff. I dated an artsy guy for awhile and he would notice things like interesting buttons or earrings. |

Yes! I definately think a cool shirt would be an opener for meeting a guy. If nothing else, he gets a compliment and I can say that I at least TRIED to meet him!
