Your on a dating site, i guess you will run into both. So it's like taking the good with the bad and going from there for me.

Depends on who I'm talking to, if I like them yes, if I can't stand them, no.

No I dont' mean on here, I mean in your job, etc..not here..here small talk is expected...but elsewhere...like I mean some of my gf can get me on the phone and talk for a long time about nothing, it drives me absolutely bonkers...

I'll take bullsh*t over small talk any day

im not good at them 'cause i lose interest really fast, then i get that glazed over look, and i have nothing to add...that's why at works i keep it SHORT but super pleasant...ppl seem to like me even though i dont care too much lol

Yep, that's me,,,I am looking at them and not hearing a word they are saying...and people tell you everything, like what they had for breakfast..

When the b.s.gets too thick I go to the serious hardware & ask questions later.But hey! that's just me.

Ok, i been there done that. Ill just cut it short at times when it happens. Some people have nothing better to do, and thats fine with me to an extent. So some times ill go with the flow and other times, Ill just cut it short.

I have to straight up tell them, I can't hold the phone to my ear any longer cause I am getting a headache, they laugh and say Your Nuts, and I am , but I get them off the phone..

It's ok if I know a person I will sit there and talk. What am I saying I am told I can talk someones ear off LOL.

I've found that some people think that in order to be in a relationship you have to have a long chat every day.

For example sat&sun spend all day together. Monday, go to work, do nothing interesting at all at work. Monday night get called up and be expected to come up with several hours of interesting conversation for no reason other than 'its nice to talk'.

If I don't have enough crap to talk about every night then its not a personal slight, i'm probably tired and had no particular inspiration. I've got no problem with people calling me and talking :) its when I have to come up with my own stuff :P

What is small talk?

I have conversations. Sometimes they are deep and philosophical and sometimes they are silly.

I have a genuine interest in people - who they are, what they love, what inspires them, their hopes, dreams and fears. That leaves a lot of area to walk around in ...

As long as there is some intelligence and humor in it I'll chat about anything and with anyone..I find people quite fascinating.

I like girls who have no problem with small things

For me small talk is the stuff you might talk about with strangers at a bus stop or something.

"Crappy weather huh?.." Etc.

But I didn't think thats what the origional poster was on about. So yeah, usually I hate all conversations that have been started 'because we should have a conversation' :P
