Quit being a bully, Winx can see what you pasted with out changing the colors. And Rush should check out his own behavior before talking about someone elses.

I wasn't being a bully. She obviously didn't read or understand the definition for context. She just kept repeating "He said what he said and has said more then I posted." Yeah, he said it. But the context made it clear it wasn't about race. If she had read the definition, I would hope that her desire to be intellectually honest would cause her to look up the quote and read it in context.

But the bigger picture is that anyone who calls that quote racist, is actually showing themselves to be racist.

Kept repeating? I said it twice in response to your several times of repeating it.

I feel that you were being condescending to me by increasing the size of the print and posting it twice and then, again, posting the big print in red for me to see for a third time.

I don't need the print to be larger to read it, btw.

I don't listen to Rush. I don't think I've ever even heard him speak

but I'm wondering about denying someone the right(?) priviledge(?) of buying something because we don't like things he says

Quiet,

I think it's called integrity. It also would have offended the 75% black players of the NFL. Why put them through that?

Just because somebody bids on buying a team doesn't mean that we have to sell it to any ole body.

Uh, no. There was absolutely no need for you to repeat what you wrote three times and change the colors.

I do know that 3/5ths of the owners have to approve any team sale

and the owner of the Colts has already said he would fight it

and I guess while he has the Freedom of Speech he doesnt have the freedom to avoid repurcussions of that speech

so, just thinking about it academically, cause I know nothing about Rush, I'm just wondering about the idea of punishing someone for unpopular speech

Are you sure you're talking about Winx? She's nowhere near dishonest. Then again, you seem to have a thing for calling people dishonest when they're not.

My city isn't hurting. The fifth new house is being built on my street right now. They've already been sold. We're having a new highway built. Many good things are happening here. I just read yesterday that our employment is going up too. I don't have a clue as to why you said that my city is hurting.

We know Rush here. He grew up 2 hours from me.

Btw, I'm glad that my Mayor and City Hall have some integrity on this issue.

I know my Mayor. I like him. I've voted for him twice. He's done good things for my city.

Didn't you read these racist comments that I posted?

* "Look, let me put it to you this way: The NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it."
* "We need segregated buses. ... This is Obama's America."
* "President Obama is black. And I think he's got a chip on his shoulder."
* Democrats are interested in Darfur to secure black "voting bloc."
* "Minorities never do anything for which they have to apologize."
* Obama's nomination for president "goes back to the fact that nobody had the guts to stand up and say no to a black guy."
* Obama is a "halfrican-American."

WHOA!!! 5 houses!!! Look out the economy has made a turn...LOL
I just came back from St.Louie and it could use some help from the NFL or Rush. And for the mayor to turn his back on them is just sad

Yeah, 5 houses on my small one way street. That's only one street of activity out of the whole metro area. There's much more building going on than that, smarty pants.

I don't know what part of St. Louis you saw but you obviously didn't see enough to know about all of the good things about it.

I don't find it sad it all. I've yet to find a person here that thinks it a bad decision.

Dishonest
1. Disposed to lie, cheat, defraud, or deceive.

Quoting someone out of context to make them appear to be racists...yeah, that's dishonest.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lie

Lying by omission

One lies by omission by omitting an important fact, deliberately leaving another person with a misconception. Lying by omission includes failures to correct pre-existing misconceptions. An example is when the seller of a car declares it has been serviced regularly but does not tell that a fault was reported at the last service.

I think it's called consequences for one's actions. Karma can be a bi$ch.

I didn't know that the Colt were saying that. I think it's great that they're standing up for their players. But, then again, their players are making them some big money. It's still good on principle.

Every quote you have posted was said WITHIN context. By posting them individually, you have taken them OUT of context.

When Rush said "Look, let me put it to you this way: The NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it." , he was talking about behavior, not skin color.

I think it's racist that you think only blacks belong to the Crips and Bloods. That makes you the racist, not Rush Limbaugh.

Well, if that makes me a racist, then ESPN, my city hall and Mayor, the NFL and all of the people that didn't want him to buy my city's football team must be racist too. Also, my black friend that was just at my house and read Rush's comments must be racist too.slaphead

I wouldn't doubt it. That or they are cowards who are too afraid to admit that what Rush said wasn't racist. If Rush really were a racist, they (and you) wouldn't need to take his statements out of context. That's an incredibly dishonest thing to do. Tell me, do you feel any shame for doing that?

Spider, seriously, they aren't cowards or racists. They're protecting their players and showing integrity and principles.

Shame? For what? For calling it like I see it?

Now, please, quit baiting me.

You know what? I'm done talking to you.

I wasn't baiting you and you know it. You are calling a man a racist and using out of context quotes to make him appear to be racist. When you read the quotes in context, you see that he is NOT a racist.

So what do you do? Admit your mistake? Admit you were wrong? No, you accuse me of baiting you.

I'm sure that a mod will ding me for pointing out your dishonesty and that's fine. People like you drove me away 8 months and as far as I'm concerned, I can leave again permanently.

Actually that is not nessessarily true. Especialy when even you do not know what was in his mind when he said it. I have neighbors that are racist and admit it, yet they act respectfully around blacks they work with and socialize with at church, but they are still racist.

Rush isn't completely stupid, he knows how far he can go. But still we don't know for an absolute fact that is or is NOT racist.

After thinking some more, I have come to realize that almost everyone in this thread is a racist.

If you think "Look, let me put it to you this way: The NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it." is a racist statement, then you are a racist. It is racist to believe that all gang members are black.

I think some people really need to examine their own hearts and try to figure out why they hold such racist stereotypes.

You make a good instigator.

Oh, so now pointing out blatant racism is being an instigator?

No not racism, your just being condescending. And repetitive.
