Police in the neighborhood heard the sound of breaking glass and a woman screaming, "He has a gun," police said. Three officers moved into the home, yelling commands for everyone to come out. That was when they saw the armed homeowner and shot him.

There is always another side to a story and hopefully a full investigation will figure out the truth. It's kinda like other videos we see or hear on the news, unless we were there, we do NOT know what actually happened.

That's sounds a bit different than the story the wife is telling on CNN. Like I said, IF the wife is telling the truth.

I really think of 1 scenario:
Twitchy trigger finger on a nervous cop.

Case closed.

Phoenix Police Dept being sued for $6million by Tony Arambula. Tony called 911, police showed up and fired upon Arambula.

Once heck even twice can be accidental, how can being shot 6 times be accidental?

Officer has been cleared of any wrongdoing.
 Cop needs to be fired. He's dangerous:smile:

Why aren't you saying what the cop said happened ? when the police are around looking for someone its best to leave your gun down . they are not there to hold you lovingly there cops . they kill people and some times some one doesn't realize there not playing .
hey if you don't like the cops we have , call a gang banger when you need help ..

I have attended many of the Civil Service hearings pertaining to Officer involved shootings and you always hear the same defense. The Police Officers have the authority to use deadly force if they feel their lives are threatened. They also frequently state that they have to make this decision in a split second.

The Phoenix Cops train a lot on the range and can get off many rounds in the blink of an eye with their Glock Autos.

Cops should be fired upon? Good grief! They are fired upon on a daily basis and risk their lives. One bad cop doesn't mean all cops are bad.

It was a grave error. What I find funny is here some are ok with saying shoot a cop but in another thread they feel pity for a murderer that shot is own damn face off. frustrated

It's terrible what happened, my condolences and prayers to him and his family. I'm sure an investigation is under way and hopefully wrongs will be right.

hey Pedalac, did ya start the party without me

In this article, the homeowner, Tony Arambula, captures an intruder. Calls cops, cops arrive. Homeowner has a weapon. He is shot 6 times by mistake/accidentally by an officer.

The officer was cleared of any wrongdoing. My initial question was how can a person shoot another person 6 times by accident? Now links say homeowner was shot mistakenly.

Saluted ya with a brewskie last night, didn't see it? laugh drinker

Yes, I know what your initial question was, I was responding to the irresponsible answer of saying cops should be shot at. Accident/mistaken, no difference to me, an accident is a mistake. We all make mistakes and we all have accidents. Sadly, this was a grave mistake.

that was pretty crass, but bottoms up drinker

I see shooting someone once, as an oops
twice - oh sh.!t I made a boo boo
three times - intentional
four times - out to kill
five times - really out to kill
six times - pretty lousy shot
