i would really like to know how a straw would work..what i'ts past me..most of the time they get caught in the seal to the floor by a sharp edge and clog the toilet..but the straw thing i am at a loss..

A straw will rip it up into little pieces which will allow it to continue on its way.

This is NO joke! How can you unclog a toilet from unorganic stuff w/o a plunger?

I thought this was going to be some sort of metaphor for love.

I fill a bucket with water and dump it in the toilet see if that helps.

If you have any drain-o cleaner for clogged sinks that might help

Straight bleach will help break it down to undue to clog as well

If you want some more adventureous types

BBQ Tongs or or skewers might help you either pull out or poke to break up clog but also risk pushing the clog further down the pipe

NEVER, EVER USE DRAINO on a toilet. It melts the wax seal at the base and water goes everywhere. Or so I've been told.laugh

If the clog is in the pipe, the drain-o shouldn't come into contact with the wax seal since that is underneath the toilet to help seal the base to the floor to prevent leaks from toilet bowl seeping into the flooring. As long as the water isn't over flowing or splashing it shouldn't cause it any real problems

you are so right.. the wax seal is just refined bees wax..with a plastic insert to fit inside the drain flangebigsmile

toilets are built with an S turn in them to break up larger solids and let them slide down the pipe better..your clog is on the down side of that turn it's also designed to keep raw sewer gases out of your house, there is no way your arm can make that turn.look on the side of your toilet and you can see the turn now if your arm can match that turn and still be in one piece go for it.drinker
