The trees
pretend that all is calm. They sway away from all that's wrong. The leaves whispers secrets to all. They know humans will one day fall. Sturdy limbs of tress crack and break. They know why the earth starts to quake. And the roots know why the sky sighs. They take in it's water then sigh. (C)2008 If you dont understand why I posted it this way, let me educate. An iambic meter is a term meaning a meter used in poetry to count the syllables, or "metrical feet." This particular poem is set at dimeter, if I remember correctly. Just two feet in each line. i like the piece overall but, i might have to disagree with one part...(not that it is open for discussion)
"The leaves whispers secrets to all." i feel like they whisper in secret to each other... things we will never understand... (just my interpretation) i look forward to seeing more of you work |
