Letterman, 62, began dating Lasko in 1986, and they have a son, Harry, who was born in November 2003. All the affairs took place before Letterman's marriage, said Tom Keaney, spokesman for Letterman's production company, Worldwide Pants.

I was thinking along the lines of this all coming up because of being blackmailed. But ok! Either way, he confessed to what he did. In my eyes, that should be the end of it. If that caused people to stop watching him, so what? There are a ton who don't care and will still watch. Is it a big deal? No. Is he the first public figure to have sex with people he worked with? No. Will he be the last? No.

Is Adultery a Crime in New York?
By Sewell Chan

Section 255.17 of the state penal law states, “A person is guilty of adultery when he engages in sexual intercourse with another person at a time when he has a living spouse, or the other person has a living spouse. Adultery is a class B misdemeanor.” A class B misdemeanor is punishable by up to 90 days in jail or a $500 fine.

No adultery without a spouse. Deception, quite likely ,, depending upon what the understanding of the couple is. Some couples done consider it exclusive until they are married, some even have open marriages. Noone knows but them.

I don't get it, why are celebreties held to a higher accountability?! Adultery happens every day, by non celebreties. The only difference is we are allowed to commit and survive those indiscretions without it becoming a national watercooler conversation.

Can things get any worse for the poor man!!!
rofl Tammy,I couldn't have sait it better myself. First, poor Dave is the victim of a crime, then he's got to listen to crappy music. smokinbe seeing you

he wouldn't have been a victim to a crime if he had kept it in his pants.

indifferent Extortion is a crime. Sex between consenting adults is not. It's pretty simple to figure that out. be seeing you

I know that sex between to consenting adults isn't a crime, what I'm saying is if he had kept it in his pants in the first place that there wouldn't have been able to have been a extortion in the first place.now that's simple to figure out.
