Mick calls in scared
He’s wasting away Wants to know If he could get tested today I tell him to calm down One question at a time He breaks down crying It’s blowing my mind My face crumples with fear Heart heavy with sorrow I know how he feels Could be there tomorrow I want take his pain Wrap it in my arms It’s a road once traveled We have to stay armed I tell of the times I speak of the swab I tell him results are rapid So it’s less worry on your mind He purges of his life Bankruptcies and home strife I tell him its okay Probably just stress of the day We share a few smiles He now SEEMS okay I tell him come next week Guess we’ll see Monday ****Hope this doesn't offend anyone. These are only my words**** |

I cannot say
this is my life I understand. I can say, only, my babies have walked this path. And I cry, for them, for you, for him. |

I want take his pain
Wrap it in my arms It’s a road once traveled ^doubt you'll offend anyone, tis poetry, all relative and who couldn't relate to this, it's what puts you fine writers in such a unique group....thought provoking. |
