Well done bro.
I was beginning to wonder if you even owned an eraser. I watched it through and was struck by basic differences that I have seen for years. Righties always use the geometric shapes to start the heads...Not saying lefties don't but, I don't. Righties rarely erase. Dude..I burn through erasers faster than I burn through pencils...that is not an exageration...I think I have 100 pencils with about 1/4 of one eraser. I just don't see how someone can hold a pencil with thier right hand! (Just me...I know) If you get a chance...when you are doing the Youtube thing...look up Krupa's Time Killer....some of my work....I don't do the speed drawing thing for sure...I do pointalism so it take for friggen EVER!!!! No matter...I dig your work. Kudos my good man. |

Thanks. I'll be sure to check out your work on youtube.
I never really noticed the differences between lefties and righties. I guess it just depends on your drawing style and what type of basics you've learned. It was difficult at first for me to draw using basic shapes to build my drawings but now I can't draw without doing that first. It helps line up the proportions. Also I don't erase much at all because if you draw light lines to build up your drawing, you wont need to. you can easily correct mistakes just by redrawing over the lines. Give it a try sometime. I'll try to make a tutorial vid or I'll see if I can find one for you. Thanks for your input :D |

Oh I draw lightly bro. I have had people watch me and ask if I am actually touching the page. I just draw/erase/draw/erase..till I get the line I want.
I guess I have read through a butt load of books on techniques (any of them that I can find) I may pick up a pointer here or there but, I am still stuck using the ways I taught myself. But, I enjoy it so I go with what I know. Keep it up man. You are quite good. I assume that you are looking to be an animator....(your technique screams it)...stay on it! I used to do pro work but, it kind of killed it for me. Paleontology work for the Museums of Natural History...Denver/Vancouver/ Mexico City.....you would be suprized how little imagination they allow you to use. |

Although I don't favor the mechanical pencils..it's not my call to make because you seem to be really good with them. Actually to tell you the truth, I never tried using other than different graphite grade wooden pencils. Your video making skills are also good! |

Mechanical pencils are the way to go bro. (At least for me). I hate having to constantly sharpen......different story with coloured pencils though

Thanks again guys and gals!
As far as mechanical pencils go... I've been used to drawing with them for a while now. I've actually pretty much exclusively use mechanical pencils. Been that way for years now. Not having to sharpen your pencil and always keeping a thin point as what I love about them. I personally use .3 and .5 lead. Whatever you may use is perfectly fine :D |
