so now i've switched over to chugging sweet tea. it tastes better than the wine, only i don't know the long term effects of sweet tea abuse vs. those of alcohol abuse. i kno drinking too much alcohol can scar the liver. what will happen to me if i continue drinking so much sweet tea? i've already downed a quart in less than five minutes.

Well, common sense should tell you that you'll be running to the bathroom a lot more.

Not only is alcohol messing with your internal organs, cutting it out will help long term for your little general to be able to salute longer and stronger in your life time.
Just watch the sugar intake on that sweet tea. |

My Mom always told me that too much tea is bad for your kidneys...that could be an old wive's tale, though. But, being from the South & practically drowning in sweet tea, I'm glad I never acquired a taste for it...waaaaaay to much sugar...blah!

My Mom always told me that too much tea is bad for your kidneys...that could be an old wive's tale, though. But, being from the South & practically drowning in sweet tea, I'm glad I never acquired a taste for it...waaaaaay to much sugar...blah! (I can already hear it ... "boring!") Sugar causes inflammation of much of the body's tissues. The US is considering putting a tax on sugar sweetened drinks because of the health damage excessive sugar intake has caused. The widespread use of corn sugar in much of our processed foods is a prime reason Americans are so fat. http://www.experiencelifemag.com/issues/july-august-2006/healthy-eating/sugar-breakdown.html |

well i mix mine just under a cup of sugar to a half gallon. so almost two cups of sugar to a gallon. i used to keep 3 sometimes 4 gallons of sweet tea ready to go in the fridge back when i lived in my apartment. and that stuff was like syrup, i would usually dilute it some before serving it. i'd pour a glass of ice with a little bit of water and then add in the tea and stir.
i love sugar tho. more than once i've had someone comment to me that they're surprised i am not diabetic with the way i eat sugar. the amounts of sugar they've seen me consume they say that it would cause a diabetic to go into coma from just watching me. i dunno about all that. i jes have a sweet tooth. actually i have a mouthful of sweet tooths. every single one of 'em. i've almost finished the half gallon now, there's maybe a pint left |
