There is wisdom in that thinking. It also undermines our efforts to stop true acts of racism when we paint an entire political party with a broad brush. You can find a handful of kooks in any crowd. It can't be stopped. To focus on the handful of kooks is chasing your tail. Well, a lot of people voted for him so I doubt the they don't want a Black President claim. Frankly, I think it is about time for a woman President but like most people I want her policy to lean toward my liking (conservative Independent). ;) |

I think it is about time for a woman President I think it's time we get a qualified person as President. Why should it matter if they are black, white, woman, or man? |

To deny racism is a factor in the hatred pointed at this president at best is ignorancy at worst it is a wish for the worst to happen. This man was elected based on his race (or hope and change,lol) now bc the people don't like him it's suddenly racist? You can't have it both ways..white guilt got him elected and his stupidty on the issues is making his poll numbers go down. If anybody is racist in this country I must say it's probably the president himself. But, I will agree with this point that you have made, there are some people out there wishing harm to him and that is something that I do not agree with...just don't vote for him again I'm white and I voted for him. I didn't vote for him based on his race. I voted for him based on his issues. The Independents that I know voted for him for his issues. The Democrats I know voted for him because he's Democrat. Also, we couldn't stand McCain/Palin. Many black people are Democrat. It makes sense that they voted for a Democrat. Then there's people like my Dad's best friend. He's a Democrat and voted for McCain because he won't vote for a black man. I have a Aunt that did that too. I dated somebody that was a Democrat. He later told me that he didn't vote for Obama because he didn't want a black man in the White House. Those people have been getting very noisy lately. thank you for that honesty, there were actually polls taken in the south that came up that way more often than not. Many people still just cant or wont wrap their head around the idea of a black man in that position of authority and are just biting the bit to attack any and every possible misstep. Being honest here, I must confess that I didn't think that the country as a whole was ready for a black man to become president so, when he was elected I was shocked and proud that so many people proved me wrong. BUT..unfortunately, I just don't think that it was HIS time. I do find him smart and at least in the beginning having good intentions but as time went on his inexperience and his view points showed me that he was the wrong person at this time to serve this country. With all the turmoil that is going on bc of whatever reason Bush, etc this was the wrong man for the job. He should have waited till 2012...but that's just my opinion :) |

I researched him and expected it to go this way. It took many years for us to get into this mess. It CANNOT be fixed quickly. |

Not seeing that he is growing our debt at 3times quicker than Bush could have ever done. Not to see that he is more interested in healthcare than our soldiers that are serving and are in need of reenforcements. The prseident that sees color when it only benefits him and his agenda. I also saw him speak in St. Louis. There is no denial on my part. I agree with some of his actions and don't agree with some of them. I never expected to see one President please all of the people all of the time. That will never happen. The way you are talking, it sounds like you are listening to far right wing talk like Rush. Again, I have no regrets. He is better then McCain/Palin. I also researched them too, btw. |
