Do you go on with it, tell the kids it's your life and

they have no say? Or let go of the idea for the sake of

your children and your relationship with them?

I don't have children and will never have children, so this will never be experience. However, hypothetically, I'd never let my children- or anyone else- dictate my life for me. So to answer your question, they'd have to suck it up and get over themselves.

I will ask them why they disliked the person so much...If the answer is, " Idk, just don't like him." They are being stubborn and selfish

It's hypothetical..my boys are adults and wish me to be happy. The only way they would object is if someone treated me badly...and then they would just kick his azz. This is no reference to me. I do know people who have been put in this situation though.

Right on..I'm not one of those who thinks everyone should have kids that's for sure. Their a mixed blessing anyway..not all their cracked up to be.

Trust me, I definitely shouldn't have kids...matter of fact there should be a law targeting me specifically to not have kids. Could call it penal code 02-20-1985-12a or something.

Depends on the age of the children.

If they are young I would probably dump the guy because young children dis-like someone their parent likes it is often because their instincts are not being over-ridden and I would figure I missed something.

If they are teens I would talk it over with them and probably put the relationship on hold.

If they have flown the coop tell them tough; get over it.

Should we all start writing our politicians and see if we can get that law passed..not just for you but for others, and then a separate law for the stupid people who just shouldn't have any, even if they want to.
