 And what about the rest of the world? This is their planet too and they have just as much of a gods given right to exist and have a say as United Statesians do(that is what a lot of other countries call us). What about them? Dont they get a say on how this world is run?:smile:A lot of them were here before us:smile: (General Question not addressed to anyone specifically)flowerforyou

The rights of the individual extend only as far as his ownership. For example, I don't have any say over you because I don't own you. Likewise, no one in this country has any legitimate say in what happens in Iran (or any other country), for example. If Americans want to tell other countries what to do, they should invest in those countries and become shareholders. That's what China did-they are heavily invested in dollars, and they now have a HUGE say in what happens here. (this is another case for the gold standard/free market currency/barter, btw)
drinker You make excellent points:smile: But the world is a lot smaller now than in the past. We are in more contact. We have all discovered each other. Things have changed. We have the ability to affect things on a global scale now unlike in the past. That is a "game changer". Now one country alone can affect the entire world:smile: This is different than in the past:smile: I have become increasingly aware of this and see things in an international perspective now. But you are on the right path about your line of thinking.

Only if I'm allowed to dismantle the government.

Nicedrinker

It is, after all, better to be subjected to too much freedom, then too little of it...

too much freedom = chaos,, too little freedom = slavery

hard to even compare the two, dont see an upside to either one

I don't think it would be as chaotic as you think....

Sure. It's a nasty job but somebody has got to do it.

Keyword is SOME. Much much less than most would expect. Much less than we have right now infact...

Speaking of children, if you never give a child responsibility would you expect him or her to still grow and mature?
