I have been on 6 cruises , mostly Carnival and one on Norwegian Lines.. All were great with tons of things to do. I have been on this one out of Miami, did the stingray swim in Grand Cayman and the dolphin swim in Jamiaca...They are a lot of fun and make a great family vacation as there is something for everyone!!!

Yeah my brother and his wife have taken several of them as well and they have been on the Norwegian Lines as well which they did say they really enjoyed. On the Carnival ones I can vouch for sure there is so much to do there is no way anyone could ever get bored on them....It was well worth it and well any vacation is what you make of it in the end.............bigsmile

I think my next trip after california will be a cruise.....Ive heard so many good things about them.

Girl you will love it but I would suggest to go with at least a few friends you enjoy being around or at least one anyway. They are a what you make of them so much to do in such a small time... The Scuba Diving was Awesome in the Cayman Islands......

Yeah we paid $500 for ours we booked 6 months in advance the only thing is I would suggest not to get the 1st floor in the 1400 numbers we had 1454 and was to the very back and heard the engines humming while we were in our room. It did not bother me for the only time I was there was to change and sleep. But my sister is a lighter sleeper and it would tend to wake her up........ others with us had the other floors only one other said they were above one of the bars and could hear noise from there till after midnight the others had no problems at all. My daughter and son was on the 10th floor and loved there rooms close to everything but still quiet as well as my brother on the 6th they had a balcony room along with a few others that was awesome. But you don't stay in the rooms much at least we did not......

We weren't in our rooms much either on my other cruises and the only "problem" we had with noise was an extremely amorous couple next door. Thankfully, we never ran into them laugh laugh Steve and I have booked a balcony cabin, I can't wait. I've always wanted one but could never afford it. This cruise, I got us the same price for a balcony as I've paid for ocean views so I jumped on it. We're doing a similar itinerary, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Roatan and Belize   I've been to all but Roatan and they are my favorite ports (so far).

Well if anyone wants to go Scuba Diving tell them to go to Cayman Islands @ Don Fosters Dive and do it there that is where we went. My brother has been on a few cruises in the past this is the first time he used them for the diving. And he said they were by far the best ones he has used they give you the training in a pool first before going out the instructors are awesome super nice with great personality's worth it, cost was $119 they pick you up shuttle you there and back and have a gift shop as well. Guy we had was from Scotland and keep us laughing these guys really know how to make everyone seem at ease joking around ect...

We're doing the stingray swim and snorkle in the Caymans, I've done that before and LOVE it! I think Steve and I are going to take beginning scuba in Belize. I've always wanted to try it but didn't want to shell out big bucks only to find out I don't like it. It's $120 through Carnival so I figured it'd be a good intro.

This was my first time to go Scuba Diving I loved it and if I go on another cruise will do it again as well. Fosters Dive is also one that Carnival promotes as well. Now several of the others went to 7 mile beach and did the snorkeling in Cayman Islands and said it was great. We were going to snorkel in Jamaica but.....way to many jellyfish in the water that day and was not taking the chance but we still had fun in Jamaica we went to one of the Sandles Resorts.

Of course now September is off season for most of these places so don't be surprised if ya'll hit the beaches and shops and not real busy but hey it was nice that way to me......

I've only been on cruises during the off/hurricane season, I love it! Prices are down, crowds are down, heat is down (slightly), it's great. I don't know what we're doing in Roatan and Cozumel yet. I love the shopping in Cozumel. TSteve wants to go deep sea fishing at one port, which I won't do. So, those ports just might be beach/shopping days.

Now in Cozumel we did the shopping day and boy was it humid that day but the shopping is best in Cozumel best prices as well. My daughter, son and sister ended up walking they said about a mile down and went to a place that had a pool that was filled from the ocean said it was great they sat in the pool and drank lol wish I had followed them. We were told as far as Cayman Island even though Margaritaville is real popular that it was over rated and expensive some went there while we were scuba diving said they got hardly nothing and it cost them $50 but they just wanted to see what it was.

We went to the one in Jamaica, I wasn't overly impressed (and Red Stripe, not recommended sick ). It was expensive and definitely tourist-oriented. When I travel, I prefer the local places to chains. I think you get more of a feel for where you're at that way.

Yeah your right unless they are the resort ect the chain eating places are over rated even the guys from the scuba place were telling us where to go to eat and drink that was really much better and not over rated but good...

I went on a cruise to Mexico about 15 years ago. I still hold some of those memories to this day. I can't wait to go on another one.
