Another day when they can't do mom's surgery  her blood still isn't at the right level and they have tried everything possible. She is in so much pain  wish I could take her pain for her

Good morning {{{linda}}} They had suggested frozen plasma, but that is only used in the case of an emergency and they don't consider this an emergency

..I would tell them I think this qualifies as an emergency!!!..Can they not give her a local..you know what I mean..not just in her leg but like when you have a baby? I don't remeber what that is called. Duh!!..Just pulling out of the air now.

An epidural (sp), no they are giving her pain medicine, which they say is all they can do until her blood level gets to where it is suppossed to be, between 1.0 and 1.5 and right now it is at 2.0
I guess the lower the level, the thicker it is Thank you!!.. ..I would tell them I think this qualifies as an emergency!!!..Can they not give her a local..you know what I mean..not just in her leg but like when you have a baby? Yes, that is what I was thinking of. You are correct. The lower the numbers the thicker the blood. I do remember that from dad when he was having to take his cumidin (sp). And they always checked it in the a m too. Dang!!..I just wish there was something else they could do to get it to where it needs to be. My heart goes out to her!!..

I wish there was something else they could do too. I am going to ask the doctor if she has a blood transfusion if that might work, she can have a pint of my blood and my sisters' too, if need be.

I am going to be there when the doctor comes in and see if there is anything else we can do for her, she can't keep going like she is going Merle, I am sorry to hear that your mom is having so much trouble.
