I watched shyly from a distance at first.

Wondering sometimes, Did he feel me lurk?

The words he spoke, The stories he told.

Were touching me, touching souls.

What in the world was happening to me.

I started to speak back you see.

Felt like I was gonna have a heart attack!

He made me smile, made me laugh.

Seems He was smiling and laughing right back.

Goodness! They don't often make um like that!

I was quite taken in. A kinderd spirit in the wind?

Gentle, warm, upon mind and soul.

Spreading love, to all you know.

Could I be so fortunate?

So I took it further, took that chance.

Yep I literarily held my breath!

I think an angel was shoving me.

Felt prickels down my back and neck.

"For if you don't take the chance-

You will never learn to fly."

So then I exhaled... and now I try.

Learning... Learning...
