per capita the U.S. has the world's largest prison population...and lengthy senetences for such minor stuff - Instead of a prison term an individual should be able to opt for lashes...

And when they arrest hookers they could make them work off their fines.

Haha well if they would execute the vile evil murderers....
I'm sure that would help a hell of a lot and take care of Charles Manson while their at it, Andrea Yates who murdered all 5 of her children, the whole lot of them. Yep, I'm for capital punishment in case ya didn't know. |

the solution for this is explained in "The Market For Liberty" and related books.

i still think we should imprison them on an island and allow rich people pay to hunt them. :p
or maybe feed them to dinosaurs... or wild beasts... or pit them against each other for freedom.. that never comes because in the end we still let the rich men shoot them. LOL omg i'm a jerk. |

Yep, I'm for capital punishment in case ya didn't know. Wow and you look so sweet in your picture. Death penalty cases actually cost more to litigate than the cost of housing the prisoner for the rest of their life. Plus the death penalty is not a deterent of crime at all. And on top of that the state should never ever execute an innocent man and there are no quarentees of that. DNA is bringing them off death row so they were innocent and would have been killed by the state. Death penalty just isn't a good thing all the way around. |

I feel sorry for anyone who has made such a mess of their life...I think that is sad. But thats just me and I'm a pushover, bleeding heart... |

In addition, since the government doesn't own a person, it has no right to kill/imprison them. A private law system would be more effective, as it was in early America and in the frontier era(19th century). |

per capita the U.S. has the world's largest prison population...and lengthy senetences for such minor stuff - Instead of a prison term an individual should be able to opt for lashes... We also have approximately 307,212,123 people. We're 4th in population. |
