I was on my Honeymoon in Las Vegas, woke up to the phone ringing , turn on CNN... watched in disbelief all unfold live....watched both towers fall live... one of the saddest days of my life, and most of us, regardless of who you are/where you are from.

Vegas no planes flying eerie feeling if you have ever been, went from elbow to elbow Vegas to a ghostown, everyone rented cars and bailed,.... candlelight vigil on the strip no lights, an image Never to be forgotten.sad2 sad2 sad2 sad2 sad2

Normally i would say being stuck in Vegas would be the best place to be stuck...never under those circumstances.

My heart goes out to averyone affected, not only the lost but the families/friends/and every Americian and touched human that remain behind, a very sad day for mankind.

I was at work as a private nanny in a home that (believe it or not) required 11 remotes to operate the tv system. Since I wasn't allowed to let the kid watch tv I had never been shown how to use it via all those remotes!!!! My boss called me and said the towers have fallen, turn on the radio. I was glued to the radio for hours but just could not 'get' what I was hearing. I didn't get home until after 5pm and then saw my first footage. Like most of us I stayed glued for days and weeks...

My brother worked in the towers at that time, his son had a school thing that day so my brother wasn't at work. Guess there a million stories of those that survived. Not as many as stories of those that were lost.

The town where I lived during and after 9-11 was (is) the home of Little league baseball (Williamsport PA) The summer after 9-11 all the NY local playing fields were used for heavy equipment storage so the kids had no place to play ball. Williamsport got together all the 'umps' and food consignment people, field prep guys, tv crews, everyone needed to host the Little League National Playoffs and hosted all the teams from NY. I was never before or since so proud to have lived there. It was a wonderful thing they did. The best part to me (and I guess others because the media couldn't get enough of it) was watching all these kids from Manhattan and surrounding areas rolling down the grass covered hills on the ball park grounds. It was really something to see, knowing what these kids and their families had just and were still going through, to roll with abandon down long green hills and laugh. I hope some of the kids who were there in Williamsport have that as part of their 9-11 memories.

I was home sick with a fever. Thought it was some kind of weird movie when I woke up. My ex was out of town, so I called the office to find out it was real.

I was at work. One of my cubemates said, "a plane just ran into one of the towers." Everyone was very upset and many had family that lived in NYC and were in panic mode all day.

A day I will never forget.

I was in the hospital waiting to be discharged.

It always amazes me that we forget so many things, but something this tragic will stick with us forever.

I was back in Louisiana at work. I heard the President was to land in the city that I was in. Barksdale Air Force Base. The news actually said where he was going.
So, 13 minutes later he was flown out to another base for safety. To a undisclosed location.

News media tells everything.
