And this was the morning message
braying out from the speakers
down long, empty corridors
lights flickering, in..out...in...out
putting new arrivals in hypnotic trance
locked doors bear glaring numbers
right on down to a thousand
the message continues on
droning, in....out...in...out
and soon the screams let on
shattering the silence into flames
it's running down the corridors
echoing the screams
the message SCREAMS along
increasing to high-pitched whines
"IT'S A DREAM!! A DREAM!!"
way to crazy for a dream
and soon the blood sprays
out nose, ear and I
spraying on the walls, pooling
as you convulse on the floor
and the message stops
only because they've all dropped
the doors unlock as one
black robed figures move in
they cart the garbage away,away
scrub out all the sprays
others are brought in, locked in
and then that afternoon's measseage started.....

Wha-OW!!!!

Need air, Ohhhhh gotta get air.

That just reminded me that we can't anticipate our audience

My painting turns to crap the minute I try to 'please an audience' because I shut down the creative process. We cannot serve two masters so we must remain true to ourselves and our art form ... yeah wierd ... and cool
