yea, there are some in your area..I have gotten emails from several right in your town... There are very few with a normal lifestyle here. I keep to myself, I have a few close friends the rest acquaintances. Between swingers, bisexuals men and woman. The guys that are single know that every weekend there is a new group of hotties coming in to party so one night stands are all they are interested in. Sure I have met a couple nice guys but they either smoke like a chimmey or do not like to drink. I do not find that a problem, but I like to have a glass of wine or an after dinner dink and many that is a deal breaker. Havasu just happened as far as life goes, I came here married in 2000 as a snowbird and little did I know you had to keep a chain on your husband. Its the story of everyone in this town. My neigbors are the best the are from ILL they are like my second parents. There daughter is the same age as me and lives 2 lots down and one lot over from her parents. I am lucky as far as that goes, they have been there for me through everything. But then we have several sex offenders, the police were at the door today with a new list in the area.. So the more private you are in Havasu, especially being single and living alone the better.. What in the world is keeping you there? It sounds weird. I was going to ask that same question... |

I said it just happened, it was great when I was married, we had married friends who were from PA and normal. I had many single friends that eventually moved back to where they came from. I have a house, the market is not good so to get what was paid I have to wait it out. Its funny how you find out who your friends are after a divorce. We were all so close, had get togethers all the time. But I was the wife who played Texas Holdem being comp up in Vegas for boxing fights, whatever, love football and the other wives were not like me. I grew up between two brothers, my sisters were older. I was close with my dad, we always watched football every weekend. He use to take us to Mohamad Allies Camp which was 40 minute from where I lived. I was a girl with photos of the champ and Mike Schmith on my wall. I loved the Redskins, had all there autographs and photos. So I am different, yes I am a girly girl but I love a great boxing match and football season is back  .

You are right, I am stuck here for now. I have my neighbors, and after losing my father in June I would be lost without there support. Like I said the house, me putting the pool in. I would never get what I even paid for it. So it is going to take a year or two. There are some normal people and I go where I know I have security watching out for me, my friends and the bartenders know I come out alone and go home alone. They always have security walking me to my car if my friends took off. I am very careful and you get smart very fast. I am east coast, and this lifestyle is not me. Do I miss the winters in PA, no way. I love the southwest and when time comes I am know where I want to go. The only change will be if someone comes into my life..

It only 8 hours, but I have done cross country so many times it does not faze me any more. Although I have one last trip to make in OCt. To pick up the things that I have in storage from my fathers apartment. Oct is great time to do it. Not much traffic, easy to get a motel, and the scenery at that time of year is beautiful. Although with no summer back east fall colors are already starting. I usually leave at night, drive the night and next day. Depending which way I go. I would end up in St Louis and stop there and do the rest of the way the next day. Other wish It is somewhere around Memphis that I would Stop. Coming back I take my time and do some site seeing. Its getting there and once the tension is over I can enjoy myself...2400 miles..OK is the worst it seem like it never ends. |

Hey girl, I was wondering the same thing myself. I'm in San Antonio Texas and it is still hard to find someone. On this site it has been hard to find someone just to chat with. I used to do the chat thing on yahoo and it seemed much easier. This forum thing is ok, but I agree with you on the what's up with this site.

I couldn't agree more, in Colorado you only need to log on about every 2 months to meet anyone new! They must not promote this site much, I guess we get what we pay for...which is nothing! Good luck!
