There is a very scary thing going on in the schools right now that all
need to be aware of. There is a type of crystal meth going around that
looks like strawberry pop rocks. It smells like strawberry also and it
is being handed out to kids in school yards in AR. I'm sure it will
make its way around the country if it hasn't already. Kids are
ingesting this thinking that it is candy and being rushed off to the
E.R. in dire condition.

It also comes in chocolate, peanut butter, cola, cherry, grape and
orange ~` it looks just like pop rocks.

Please instruct your children to not accept candy that looks like this
even from a friend and to take any that they may have to a teacher,
principal, etc. Please pass this around it could save some family a lot
of heartache!
That is what they are calling strawberry meth or strawberry quick.

Man, it just gets worse all the time! This world is pretty messed up. My
kids will both be in middle school this fall, and it is a mess all in

No problem, the candy looks like poprocks and comes in all different
flavors,,,,,,I hope everyone will warn thier kids not accept any kind of
candy at school, or from anyone but family for that matter. Poor kids
that have already had to go through this. I feel so sorry for them.

did you say AR is where this is being handed out? Here in MY SCHOOL that
AR means an after school reading program for PARENTS AND CHILDREN. I am
sorry but i dont see this actually happening during my time with my
child during AR.

I am glad to see the police have cracked down on the quanity of meth
indegredients that one can buy at a store to make meth. At one time one
could get all the indegrients to make meth at any grocery store. The
lure of cheap overhead; cheap supply of indegrients and the ease of
making meth has greatly changed. I have known of addicts who in a couple
of days could make a year's salary. The police are becoming more
informed. I once knew a friend who could show me a police's home and the
crack house next door or a little further down the street. With all the
cracking down on makers of meth it is seeing a turn around where making
meth is not as economically feasible as it once was.

WOW, THAT IS CRAZY!!!! THE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD ARE BECOMING

I hear that. One has sometimes to choose between illegal greed and legal
greed. Especially it can be seen in America because it is a capitalist
country. The old free love of the 60's with hippie communes can be seen
as a charged loved with yuppie communes. Eventually the love can be
taken out of it. Where once people would smoke a doobie to protest the
establishment people can now take something even worse to undermine it
altogether.

I really think parents might be suprised by what actually happens in
schools. There is also another drug making it big called "cheese" it's
a mixture of meth and tylenol p.m. There recently was a bust of it
recently in Dallas at an elementary school. Very scary!!! Instead of
assuming it couldn't happen to your child I think that educating them
would be a better alternative.

to my daughter (12).I pray for her and all her friends every chance I
get.And Have you heard of THE CHOKING GAME! THE KIDS ARE PLAYING.Most
use there hanse to make themselves passout to get a rush.And when that
don't work any longer,they go to using belts,scars ,etc, and when tey
passout it dont' release.And so the end up killing themselves.It is said
that kids feel this is safe because it's not drugs & such.

It is kind of like playing Russian Roulette. Drug use can be a lure; To
fit in; To be accepted; To get attention and peer pressure are common
reasons. An addict alone is in bad company because the isolation is with
the person you last used with which is yourself for the addict. I have
always heard in meetings that an addict alone is in bad company but just
last night heard it put that way by a fellow member. An addict can
become morally bankcrupt as the disease continues. It is a disease that
can tell you that you don't have a disease because it is cunning,
baffling and powerful. A reprobate mind can come of it because lying,
stealing and cheating are just ways that the disease has of protecting
itself. Eventually the addict finds that the disease has became its god
because an addict will do anything to get that next fix. The disease
doesn't ask; It demands. The craving becomes psychological; emotional;
spiritual and social skills become limited. Insanity follows because in
the end one can not even true to one's self. The viscious cycle becomes
an accepted way of life as one is drawned further and even further into
the abyss. A recovering addict faces four options; jails, institutions,
death or to seek help.
