I love how deluded people call the rest of us blind.

I bet the same things were said during Hitler's rise to power.
"Oh he is such a wonderful man," "Oh he gives us hope," "Oh our country would be better with him running things his way..."

OH BUT THEN THE HOLOCAUST NEVER HAPPENED EITHER!

It is one thing to speak to children in schools but to push political ideologies on them is unfair to them. This is a historic moment for Neo Fascism.

Evidently some of the people spouting how ignorant and racist we are A) don't know anything about us, (if I was a racist would I date black women?? NO, And I had TWO black GFs in my past and would happily date a black woman again  , nuff said.) B) are not parents, C) Assume our education levels never exceeded the sixth grade, and D) We're all Republicans! Funny, I am a centralist independent with financially conservative beliefs.

Come now, are some of you pro Obamaites assuming us to all be slack jawed Hill Billys living in the back hills of the Ozarks?

If I had kids I would pull them from class that day as well and take them to Magic Mountain and tell them that what they are enjoying is from the fruit of hard work and having a work ethic.

There are reasons poor people are poor.
For those struggling to get ahead:
HIGH AS THEY SKY unemployment, bad economy, skyrocketing costs for EVERYTHING, higher taxes, businesses and jobs being driven wholesale from America, and a government with its head so far up its own a@@ they are suffering hypoxia they can't solve anything.

For those who are poor and not struggling at all:
DRUG ADDITION, poor work ethic, complacency, and a belief the world owes them a living. Every last 'homeless and hungry' AH here in LA (the ones on every freeway off ramp and center island you see here) are drug addicts with no desire to do anything other than get their next fix.

I am in the poor class but I work my *** off to gain any ground and with California doubling all of its taxes and fees the pressure on me has just doubled. I can BARELY afford to feed myself right now but I have been adapting as best I can to try to just keep up. I do work I do not want to do because it pays the bills. Does this make me attractive to women here? HELL NO! I do not wear $400 jeans or $250 Niki Tennis Shoes. I don't bust bling or drive a Hummer or BMW. I also do not deal drugs. I work for a living. Do you think I want to have to pay for some A@@H*LE who just wants to hang out all day begging money off of people when they should get off of the **** and find work?

Do you know what those choads with the "Homeless and Hungry" signs do when you offer them food instead of money? They get pissed off and call you a cheap mother fuquer? Do you know what they do when you offer them work? they laugh in your face.

Now let us look at the situation in Louisianan and Hurricane Katrina. It is the same people who got tons of government assistance and SOAKED the system for every dollar they could get are the same people who love Obama because his Socialist policies made promises to support these deadbeat losers! There is a reason why most of us working class stiffs hate Obama and it has nothing to do with color or party lines per say. It is his 'hand out' policies and beliefs, his lack of financial responsibility, and his racial bias.

Is there something about this thinking that goes over your heads? I have seen real poverty doing volunteer work in Mexico and for as much crap as people talk about Mexicans in general they have losers among their own but the rest have real work ethic that many Americans have forgotten. Now suddenly people want to turn a blind eye to illegal immigrants because they do jobs the rest of us won't do? PLEASE! You underestimate the rest of us Americans. I doubt many of the bleeding hearts here could walk a quarter mile in my shoes before complaining the work is too hard!

It clarifies my thinking that I am surrounded by idiots sometimes.

Wow they're still talking about this? This is wost then Obama's birth certificate. Let it go people Obama's not going to indoctrinate your kids into mindless Obama zombies. He's not even a socialist anyway, if anything all he seem do do is to hold his hand out to the right - only to have it bitten...

I'm down here on the Mexican Border. Majority, Hispanic.
As we are all aware, BHO got the majority of Hispanic votes.
After many calls in opposition, the News Herald announced the Val Verde School District will not air the speech.
Now, those who claim only racists oppose BHO can include Hispanics to their list of racists.

He was not that popular with the hispanics. That is propaganda. Hispanics are prejudice against blacks too.

there she goes again, with her bucket of scarlet paint..

She might have a point there. There are different shades of black and the truely black person who doesn't believe his BS must be racist also.

Another point. If everyone who opposes him is racist, that would put at least 65% of the American population in the Racist category. His popularity level is less than 40%.

Nobody said all who oppose him are racist. It seems some on here take things personally, I wonder why?

Anyway, the reason the racial is so obvious here is that all presidents speak to the kids. ALL of them. There has never been such a stink made. The only difference from Obama and all others before him is that he doesn't have the shining white face. There have been liberal presidents before him, there have been democratic president before him, yet all of them were allowed to speak with children with few exceptions.

So it is obvious of the racial issue here.

The truth is often ugly but it is still the truth.

have you ever heard the expression, "when the only tool you possess is a hammer, you see every problem as a nail"??

there most certainly is a racial issue going on here. but it's not the one you think it is..

everyone from jesse jackson to Al Sharpton, both Reverends without congregations but that's another story, has played the race card when faced with opposition to any of Obama's pie-in-the-sky policy agenda items..

playing this race carsdis supposed to insulate Obama from criticism but it is only serving to isolate him from the nation..

so I'll ask you.. is there any issue upon which someone may disagree with Obama or his Administration without you yelling 'racism'??

Hell, Obama isn't even black, he is a Mulatto.

I'm not exactly Lilly white either. I am Italian/Irish and that makes me a mutt as well. I very well could have black and Jewish blood in me for all I know. What does it matter?

What is funny to me is how racism works both ways! I have gotten into it with Hispanics who hate whites and I am not afraid to dust off my knuckles on their faces like anyone else trying to get violent with me. Hell, I have had to get into it with blacks pulling that 'hatred of whitey' crap on me as well.

It is mind boggling how people seek any excuse to promote 'hate speech' by saying everyone who does not like Obama is racist. I would have voted for Condoleeza Rice or Colon Powell in a heart beat and both of them are as black as they come. Both are HIGHLY educated and both are self made. Colon Powell was a general in our military and Condi climbed the ranks of the Republican Party under the Bush Administration and considering that she is a black woman means that was no easy feat. Obama is a mouthy politician who has a forked tongue!

I never said anyone who doesn't like Obama is a racist. Never came out of my mouth. People tend to take things personally on here and I am not sure why. I call racist activity, speech, actions etc... when I see them.

This is issue is racist. It may not be for all, some may have actually bought into the racists propaganda tools about socialism, liberalism, etc... but the core is racism.

How do you know it is? Because when white presidents of the same calibre as Obama spoke to people's children there wasn't an issue of this magnitude.

That is a rather myopic view of the situation! Preaching to children is weak, and also the move of despotic leaders. He needs to be addressing us more. He won't. Why? Socialized health care, nuff said! Look at how much fury it has caused. His plans are badly thought out and all of them political knee jerk reactions to a much more serious problem. What has he done about government spending? oops

I actually went there didn't I?

What about the earmarks and pork barrel spending? how about property values not coming down? How about him causing inflation to spiral upwards? And worst yet Congress is the real villians in this but Obama sure is running ahead of the herd. He is not a leader. What examples has he set?

Only bad ones so far. TWO economic stimulus packages to the organizations that inflated property values and drove taxes up artificially? Sucking up to Labor Unions who drove a lot of industry out of this country? Demanding we pay for Congress's failures to do their damn job? Now we got to pay for deadbeats so they can go to the doctor and get free medical care while the rest of us pay for it? Two Words, Financial Accountability. he sure does not seem to understand that. Oh but all of us Americans are so rich. Where is my house on the hill? Where is my Mercedes Benz? Hell, Where is my Bentley? Where are my three meals a day and my king sized bed? Where is my swimming pool and membership to the Country Club?

only racists use the term "race card"????noway Since I used that term in another thread...I assume I must be racist???? I'm always the last to know things laugh that term has been used around here for a while....

race card

play the race card to use the issue of race, e.g. in legal argumentation or in a debate, to win an advantage or make a point (informal)

I don't like BHO because of his politics...has NOTHING (and I repeat) NOTHING to do with race

This whole issue is not about racism but a Socialist Agenda! PERIOD!

I sure hope you were this upset over Bush's illegal activities in office. He actually tried to be dictator in this country. Most of what you have mentioned above was done by Bush and has been a direct result of Bush in office. Obama hasn't even been in office long enough to do any damage yet.

So if your motive is not racial then get the facts of who did the damage straight first and then we can have a logical discussion of what Obama may or may not do.

As for the kids all presidents have spoken to the kids so all of them are guilty of indoctrination if that is your argument.

Racist created the term "race card" to discount all the evil they were doing as not real, get it?

dragoness...it originated in the UK...probably by racists. But the only argument for why people don't like this president seems to be racism. that seems to be the only reason you can possibly see. there were sides against every president before this...what was their excuse? he may have only been in office for a short time...but IMO he's making things worse. If some people have to "hunker down" any farther...they will be homeless

The reason folks have to hunker down has nothing to do with Obama, it is all the backlash of Bush in office. The recession started under his watch. He is the one who bailed out the banks with no restrictions to how they spent the government money, etc... and so on.

Obama has not done anything to make the recession worse.

If people don't want other people to see them as unreasonable for possible other reasons they should make sure they have the facts fairly straight first.

Socialism and liberalism have both been propaganda tools used by the racists of this country to influence people to their agenda without the folks even knowing they are following it.
