Ya know what I find funny about all of this??? We have....Right...and Left.... Either Obama is a godsend, or he's so full of crap he squeaks. There appear to be VERY few free thinkers around this place. Of course, everyone THINKS they are a " free thinker " when all they really do is follow the crowd that happens to agree with them. Republican or Democrat....none of them are worth a plug nickel. Neither party ( which, by the way, America was NEVER intended to be a two party system ) has the common sense to realize that the best way to satisfy the vast majority of the people in this country is to get off the Right or Left and just meet somewhere in the middle. But they refuse to do that because there are too many of the sheeple out there telling them that their way is the ONLY way. What a crock. I don't think Obama is anything more than a man with faults. When I see unjust claims being made, prejudice being performed, etc... I cannot let that lie. He is just a man, no different than any man on this site. With faults that will make him make mistakes just like all the men on this site. A man who has ideals and dreams like all the men on this site. He is the same as all the men on this site. I just want him to be regarded with this humanity by other humans. Politically, I am unaffiliated. But I can see the differences from one side to the other when it comes to left and right. I can see more hate and agression on the right side. But I do not have affiliation to either one. you have over 12000 posts--did you sound like this when the last prez was in?? |

Well..I want you to keep in mind that this is just my own opinion and is not a personal attack in any form. Saying that you are " politically unaffiliated " is one thing. However, many of those that make that claim cannot truly do so because no matter what, their thoughts and feelings on certain things leads them to lean one way or the other. You may not make a claim to any particular party, but you do lean one way or the other based on your views. Now that, in and of itself, isn't a big deal. What IS a big deal is that once someone leans one way or the other, chances are that they are going to go ahead and drink the Kool Aid on nearly all the other issues. There is no ' center ' anymore. That is why we went from the far right Bush era, to the far left Democrat controlled government we have with the Obama administration. Do I think National Health Care is a good idea?? Of course I do. Do I think it's a good idea the way it has been presented to us? Hell no I don't. Why can't we cover the uninsured without having to mess with the folks who DO have insurance? They want to penalize me 2500 dollars a year because I don't have insurance?? If I actually HAD that 2500 dollars in the first place, I would go and GET insurance. But I don't HAVE an extra 2500 bucks a year, but yet the government wants to take it from me anyway. The government ( as stated in the health care bill that was presented to us ) wants to penalize businesses 750 dollars for each person that they employ and don't offer insurance to. That is MUCH cheaper than actually offering health insurance, so why, exactly, would the companies continue to offer it? Obama saying that if you like your plan you can keep your plan simply isn't true because businesses won't continue to OFFER your plan. Don't try to tell me that language isn't there. That bill is chock full of gray areas. Can you seriously think that the people in power wouldn't try to take advantage of the vague language?? Our government, in the last couple of decades, has shown us exactly NOTHING that would lead us to believe that they could manage something as large as national Health Care efficiently. They couldn't even manage the Cash For Clunkers program efficiently. Health Care is MUCH, MUCH bigger than that. But yet, all of the left leaning sheeple have somehow convinced themselves that it's a GREAT idea?? There ARE solutions to the problem of people going through life and being one illness from being homeless or worse. But yet, no one seems to be bothering to come up with any of them. |

Take a good close look at how vague the language in that bill is. It's full of gray areas. One of the biggest things people have been pissing and moaning about is that businesses are only in it for the profits. If the government decides that they are going to penalize companies 750 per uninsured employee if they don't offer insurance, as opposed to it costing the business anywhere between 5000 and 10,000 dollars a year per INSURED employee... ..which option do you think a business is going to take??? It's all about the bottom line, remember?? All you have to do is do the math. |

No, swine flu shot. It's called, "my child went back to school and brought it home". lol Over half of my child's class is out with this too. My child has been home since Wednesday night. I'm thinking it's some kind of flu. |
