There was no special lens. It was at a club with lots of lights out on the dance floor.. and no flash. By the way, the first one you posted of the tree on this page is my favorite of what you shared.

Photography most certainly IS an art form. To capture a great image many factors come into play, (besides the equipment being used and subject matter)...lighting and composition, just to name a few. Anybody can point and shoot.

Sure, anyone can take a picture, but can everyone take good pictures? Of course not. I usually find that people with this kind of attitude haven't spent much time with a camera. That being said, art is subjective. What you may find to be good art, I may not enjoy at all and may not think it involves much talent.

Anybody can point and shoot. A good photographer might take 100 pics, and only use one, so it's hard work too.
