I think that the fact that Jesus taught from the Torah and books of the
prophets would mean that Jesus gave the OT his "stamp of approval" as
being the Word of God. I wonder what Jesus' stance on his "followers"
calling him a liar is? Jesus empowered the apostles to found
Christianity, I wonder how he will feel about the people who say the NT
is "just the words of men".

Yeah, if I believed in Jesus and rejected the Bible, I would want to
make sure I was right in rejecting the Bible...maybe by reading it and
praying. Just my opinion.

this is stated at christians not unbelievers, be careful before you run
fellow christians down for standing in the truth of god,would the jesus
freak whom gave their life be doing what you are doing, I just hope and
pray when my time come.

Mary too was of the line of David. Check out Walker's post from Matthew where the lines are discussed. I couldn't figure out why they would put the line from David through Joseph and then go back up from Jesus through David and why Solomon was missing the second time around.

The prophesy says from a branch. Mary is related to David through another son of David, same stump, different shoot, and a branch in that she married Joseph. Can a mere woman pass on a seed to a male child? Do bear in mind that mere woman was hand-picked by God and her birth was as amazing as that of Abraham's son, Isaac, in that both of these, Mary and Isaac, were conceived pretty late in their parents lives.

The interesting part I found in the NT regarding this whole question is one Jesus himself asked in Matthew 22:41-46

Regarding that prophesy, does Jesus really fit it? The part about all the peace definitely did not happen with him. More reading, sooo many sources and then trying to prove that source is accurate joy, rapture, and just plain nosiness on my part, hmmm, or is it........

Spider is still deactivated Miles. The stuff I'm reading about Jesus now, all of it is not in the Bible. So far and he's about 29 at this point that I'm up to, he says he came to teach mercy and teach the word of his father, so man could know God. The part about the sons against fathers and all that, makes sense to me in that he saw where tradition was NOT following the word of God. Kind of like a re-do of Abraham. Something just isn't jivin' in my mind with that quote though. I need to check some more stuff out and will get back to you.

I have a different thought on a earlier post about Yahwshua's birth.

The doctring of the Immaculate Conception is not included in the Old
Testement prophesies.

This question was overlooked by the Nician Council that decided what
would be included in the offically recgonized bible.

Proof that when man attempts to change the Word of God to fit into what
they need to become High Ones they will allways miss something. Gods
Word can not be changed it will allways show the truth of something in
the time that God decrees.
