The Awakening

'Neath crimson moon
Mists cling to the earth
Disturbed in the silence
A raven returns.
In dust left to settle
Memories rush in
Where a human remains
Death wasn't the end.

Slowly shapes form
In this darkness of pain,
Bearing great scars
Revived once again.

Memories of torment
Still fresh in the soul
Speaking so loudly
Dirt's heaved with a groan.
Reborn into mortal existance
Like a beast taunted to rage
Bound to the earth
Like bird in a cage.

Thrown once again
Onto the mercy of life
Complete with it's challenges,
Loves, forgiveness, and strife.
