maybe it's where I live. the racists people that I hear from around hear don't hide the fact that they are racist because they see nothing wrong with it (which goes for all races) I dated a man that didn't show any signs of being racist. Then...after the election, he tells me that he's a Democrat but he voted for McCain because he didn't want any black man in the White House. I was stunned. My Dad's best friend is a Democrat that did the same thing. We didn't see that coming. I know people that hide the fact that they're racist. I'm more of an Archie Bunker bigot...  He definitely was one. afterall...he is my hero... (_0_) |

Obama is not a president! He is the 2nd DICTATOR of the united states of america. You want to talk about ignorance in this country most people don't know that there are no more presidents. Think its ********? Read the patriot act. He has the power to take total control over everything without the say from congress or any other body The Patriot Act was passed into law on October 24, 2001, just six weeks after 9/11. Umm....Obama wasn't president then. |

it would be ignorant to say that racism doesn't still exist or that there are those that don't like BHO because of his race...but it's equally ignorant to assume that because someone doesn't like BHO then they have to be racist. JMO |

As a president it is his right to speak to students about education and other important issues . Those who oppose a president to address schools are a bunch of morons to say the least . Nowadays schools have many problems including proper funding, violence, drugs and under achievement....etc . Although I am disappointed in Obama by not keeping his promises for real change; I see him as a highly educated achiever man . I just have one real dumb question. Make that two. 1. How much "change" do you think ANY President is going to affect in just 7 or 8 months time? Especially one who is going against every kind of opposition you can imagine (just look around and you will find opposition). Everybody keeps trying to shoot down his ideas, and plans, yet these same people are the first ones to step up and complain that nothing has been done. Change takes time, folks, it can not happen over night, and even when it DOES finally happen, it still needs to be watched and tweaked a bit to make sure it is doing what it is supposed to do. 2. Let's put the Presidential shoes on your feet for a few minutes. You have everyone you can imagine opposing one thing or another of everything you propose. Everyone seems to be disposed to not have any faith in you, and to automatically shoot down any ideas you have. How effective are you gonna be? |

lol, I was taking his question literally as he posted it, which translates to how do you come to the conclusion that: " It is just sickening to think that a president talking to the schools which all have done becomes an issue when a shining white face is not on the president.
I am not agreeing that racism is the issue here. I am agreeing that it is sickening to think that anything can become an issue simply because of the color of someones skin.
