if you been in some of the areas i lived you'd want to carry a gun too
but i never have and i never will because a moment of anger ain't worth
someon's life in most cases. i've seen stuations where shit got all
blown out of proportion and someone got killed only to find out later
that it wasn't what they thought and now they can't take that back. one
dudes dead and the others in prison over some bullshit, it don't make
anysense.

I have thought about getting a gun permit...with all the crap going on.
Its not good when you are afraid to leave your house at night, so I
don't see anything wrong with it at all.
I think King is right though, if you have lots of anger, you shouldn't
carry a gun...I don't have any anger issues so I would be ok carrying a
gun on me...if I found my stalker though...I would not be afraid to
shoot him :)

well this is a touchy subject i dont believe their is anything wrong
with it i personally dont like guns of coarse i veiw a gun as a tool
used for hunting or protecting ones self i dont think more gun laws have
helped at all because most criminals get their guns illegally anyway and
statistics show the states with fewer gun laws have fewer gun crimes
cause criminals are less likely to pull a gun when they dont know who or
how many people are carrying......incidentally my brothers has no use of
his left eye anymore from when he got shot playing over at a freinds
house funny thing was he was shot accidentally by the son of a cop so if
you are going to carry please keep them with at all times to keep
accidents from happening at home guns are tools and should be veiwed and
handled with respect to the power they possess

I think everyone over the age of 21 that has never had a felony arrest
should have a weapon straped on his belt or hip in plain view. I
believe this would cut the crime rate in the US by more than 75%. In
other countries such a Swizertland where everyone owns a full auomatic
weapon the crime rate is considerable lower than here, plus as a bonous
it makes other countries think before invading us. They would never want
a door to door fight with a totally armed adversary. In 1935 Hitler said
in a speech "This year will go down in history, for the first time a
civilized nation has full gun registration, Our streets will be safer,
our police more efficent and the world will follow our lead in the
future." And we all now the outcome of Hilters regime of terror. Thomas
Jefferson wrote "those who forget history are doomed to repeat it." Let
us never repeat what happen to civil liberties and personal freedoms
then. In France, Australia, Canada, China, the freedom to own a weapon
has already been removed, let us hope America is not so stupid.

In 2002 my younger brother was shot 10 times at point blank range, he
has 2 bullets still lodged in his brain. He will be diabled for the
remainder of his life. At the time or the shooting he was licensed to
carry a concealed weapon. On the day of the shooting he choose not to
carry his gun to his daughters school to pick her up. Since that time
all 4 brothers now have license to tote a gun. Would I shoot somone? If
it was me or him, it will definitly be him.I would not like to nor enjoy
shooting someone, but I would pull the trigger without blinking in order
to survive.

Because Guns don't kill or hurt people...

Being a Veteran of the Army I learned respect weapons, (it's a cardinal
sin to call them guns in the military) I even became a sharpshooter with
an M-16, but guns in the home, especailly one with children scares the
shit outta me. I don't care what part of town you live in...

When my brother and his wife first got married, at the time, her son,
rest his soul, was only thirteen. During a visit with his father, he
come across one of his father's guns, and his bullets in a closet...need
I say more?

i'd have guns in the house but they'd be put in a safe(fingerprint
activated that pops the door open). i just won't personally carry one in
public. i've been around shootings before and it doesn't bother me if
i'm on the street. i would never take away someones right to own or
carry a gun because we could have the strictest gun law in the world but
the criminals are still gonna get them. i would rather allow people to
defend theirselves. my main concern is the dumb people that try to use
it as an intimidation factor. if no one is showing a gun, don't pull
yours because the mere sight of that thing can set off a whole set of
chain reactions that may have not otherwise happened. carrying for
protection is fine but if you are carrying because you are scared, i
don't think you should have it in public. i know that might sound crazy
to some people but a scared person with a gun does not act right and
they will make bad decisions or end up getting killed theirselves.
carrying a gun is a big responsibility and some people don't stop to
realize how much of a responsibility it is.

Kids are curious and presistant, and if they want it bad enough, they
will find a way to get it unfortunately. I am not opposed to the right
to have fire arms at all, I just don't like the idea of them being in a
home with children, regardless of the safety precautions taken to keep
them unobtainable and I wouldn't have it.
