Topic: Gov. Indoctorinating the Kids | |

indoctrination is what government school is FOR! If you don't like it, homeschool or private school the rugrats. Thank you. It's called the Board of Education. I remember the board of education hanging in my principal's office when I was a kid. |

Fact no other president has done this. I have no idea what he is going to say. I am concerned as I would be if it were any president. Children cannot grasp politics fully most adults have issues doing the same(myself included). It reminds me of how some dictators have done in other countries. I hope I am wrong. Maybe as with anything adults should watch first then decide.

I agree with winks. In a public school system they can do what they want as long as not way way out of line.

In 1989, Bush delivered a televised anti-drug speech, and Reagan's 1986 commencement speech and Q&A session was "beamed over public television into 171 school districts," according to the L.A. Times. |

But no other president wanted the kids to wright a paper on how they can help president Obama.
After a hugh uprising about that it was changed to what they can do to make themselves better. Or something along those lines. I have no problem with him talking to the kids and urging them to do well in school, just leave the polotics out of it. |

Its ok to disagree I just frustrated that people well take as simple as a speech to children and turn into a Orwellian plot. Were these speeches directed specifcally to students and shown only in schools? - yes Were they made to be shown in all schools? - If I have to guess, probably not but was suggested - like how it was suggested that this should be sown (BTW some school are showing it and some are not and the ones that are showing it are still leaving it up to the teachers for the final word) |

The majority of adults are refusing to buy into the Obamination. Now, he'll try to sell the kids his drug. If you wish to not have your kids indoctorinated by BHO and the Gov., keep them home on Sept. 8, 2009. Tell your school superintendants how you feel about it. September 2nd, 2009 3:58 PM Eastern Hope, Change and Indoctrination? by Web Producer President Obama will deliver a national address directly to students on Tuesday, which will be the first day of classes for many children across the country. The address, to be broadcast live on the White House's Web site, was announced in a letter to school principals last week by Education Secretary Arne Duncan. In advance of the address, the Department of Education has offered educators "classroom activities" to coincide with Obama's message. The suggested lesson plan that calls on school kids to write letters to themselves about what they can do to help President Obama is troubling some education experts, who say it establishes the president as a "superintendent in chief" and may indoctrinate children to support him politically. What do you think about Obama's classroom campaign? http://www.docstoc.com/docs/10582301/President-Obama?s-Address-to-Students-Across-America-September-8-2009 This did not happen when all other presidents before him spoke to students, why the concern now? |

It did in smaller circles, viz JBS, McLaughlin, etc. ()I suspect there are a number of reasons for the hype now-publicity stunt, etc. etc. |

So do I. I remember the controversy of his staying there to read when he first heard of the attacks, or so people claimed.
