Topic: Consequences for misguiding the public

Lest we forget;
Obama himself admitted during a June town hall event televised by ABC News that one way to cut medical costs would be to stop expensive procedures on people about to die, saying: "Maybe you're better off not having the surgery, but taking the painkiller";

Keep twisting we need more twisting of the facts out there, really a big help...

Take it down to its most basic.

The insurance companies will benefit from a public plan... They will be the underwriters.

So then insurance benefits from if there is a bill or if there is not...

Therefore what IS the underlying reason for this bill at this time... It sure ain't to fix the system... System works but needs some minor changes here and there.

However if the bill is passed MONEY becomes available in many other avenues... and the rich get richer and WE get f'rickeder...

and the left lies to protect their avenues of wealth.

as the right lies so they may have a larger piece of the pie.

Now you are passing this off as your personal opinion, right? Because it is not factual.

What is not factual...

Our government is in the red.

Not spin.

If the bill gets passed money will be printed to cover.

Money that does not exist.

IT IS POSSIBLE TO ADJUST THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM WITHOUT ALL THIS HYPERBOLE.
It is also a FACT that more people are covered than are not...

13 trillion to fix a system that is not working ONLY for less than 10% of the population is an OUTRAGE.

Money should never be an issue when it comes to saving a life, unless you have your priorities screwed up.

Lets take a look at priorities...

Population at or arround 300 million.

Actuall uninsured... 17 million.

so then I must accept less for the 300 million to 'fix' the 17 million?

and in the process place the national debt so much further out of range that my grandchildrens great grandchildren will still not be able to shovel out from it?

Yeah... Reckon my priorities might be skewed... bigsmile tongue2

Where do you get the figure of "actual insured ...17 million"?

I've been reading 45-47 million are insured. I think it's higher then that with all of the people that have lost their jobs the last 2 years.

You are so twisting his words and adding more to them. I saw that clip several times. He didn't even come close to saying that.

The amount of the unisured should outweigh the cost to revamp the healthcare so that there are zero uninsured.

The projected costs are not accurate anyway, it will be less than that.

I'll give you the first one that was just put on to be funny. But the second was at a convention for Obama. She and I'm sure many more thought that. It's all how you say things and how you know people will percieve what you say. The way a person says something can be percieved several different ways.

So if something is said and different media sources take what is said at face value instead of what the meaning of what was said is that misinformation? Or if what is said is read into way to much and isn't what was meant when said, is that misinformation?

I think someone said before who would be in charge of decicing who is telling the truth or not?

I give up, the rethoric and the insanity and the misinformation have pretty much worked for the oposition doesn't matter if it was true or false. Good luck with those rising premiums when the insurers win once again. Over and out...

So your turning this into a health refom(if that's still what they are calling it) topic.

How can you know if these questions asked at these town halls are coming from misinformation? There isn't just one version of a bill there is several. I saw on the news at one of the town halls the rep was asked a question about something and said that isn't in this bill, But what if it was in a diferent bill? Is it then still misinformation? Maybe congress should have to make one bill in the house and senate then debate it and vote on it. That would make things less confusing for the everyone.

Huh? turning this into health reform? I wasn't aware that I was doing that...

The questions asked were typically about the bill Obama was referring to. I wish it was one damn bill as you say so that it would be easier for everyone to understand. But the questions I have heard from the town halls are usually all the same questions that have been answered and debunked about the bill that Obama supported.

Im going to shut up about it at this point, and see what happens when they all get back to washington. I expect it will be just as messy as it is now, no sense in ending what's working for the opposition. Just keepumm confused and angry...

Goes to show, as the majority of the people wake up and see the truth about Nationalized Health Care, it doesn't matter how many of our Tax dollars BHO pumps into NBC or CBS.

The people aren't stupid or misguided.

Pumping Tax dollars? Yes! Where is the public service in the commercial with a sit-com actor, George, I forget his last name.

That is a perfect example of spin which doesn't help anyone. In fact most answers so far are spin and not even an answer to my question, except for Winx and Quite.

What people are missing is the fact that laws aren't written to be taken literally. They are always open to interpretation. I can cite several examples of a bill or law being passed with some specificity and turning out later to be interpreted and used for something totally different.

Just because Obama says his plan won't lead to rationing, forced participation, or death panels, you really can't say people's claims to the contrary have been refuted. You can say this or that, but until the bill includes specific wording saying these things are forbidden, anything is possible..
