I think that might be true sometimes...the jury is still out on this one....

I don't think that is one of those things where there is this magical chorus coming from the sky and the clouds part way and the sun shines down and its like...... ohhhhh dammmm..... its meant to be!
Being alone isn't "Meant to be." You have a choice over being alone or being with someone. Want to be with someone? Go ask someone on a date. Winning the Lottery is "Meant to be." Finding a $20 bill in the street was "Meant to be." Stories where a dude gets into a car accident and has to be hospitalized - only to find out he has a tumor in his lung- that is "meant to be." Just my opinion. One of those excuses for people that are alone, but don't really want to be, to use. |

Mirror, we are all meant to be alone. We all stand alone in this world. It is how we come into it and how we leave it. Now, if you are saying that a person has a predestiny to live life alone, I would not agree with that. We all have matches in this world. We may have a difficult time finding them but they are there.

I don't believe that, because "meant" would require someone or something to do the "meaning." I do believe that some people are more likely to end up alone, for various reasons. But I don't think there's any sort of supernatural intent involved.

It's a numbers game. LittleBombs- How old are you? 20? That is too soon to think that failed relationships are the end to your quest in finding the man of your dreams. Look at you for one thing - an absolute stunner. You will have several opportunities, helll maybe even today, that a guy is going to hit on you, ask you out - so many opportunities waiting. Since my car accident in February, I've basically been abandoned by everyone I knew in real life. I have no options for meeting anyone in real life. Ergo, no one to ask on a date. |
