Topic: I need someone to talk to...[Part 3] | |
---|---|
So...how come I am so nice?
I am always a sweetheart to ladies, and this conversation is going to include the same sex too..so I will retract my statement... I am always a sweetheart to ladies and a good guy to the men I meet.......yet, it just seems when I'm a good guy it gets me nowhere. Why is it in todays society the good guy gets nowhere? Billy in the forums said to someone not to be a "doormat", however I am definitely not. I speak my mind. I throw my opinions out. I say how I feel. Is there a happy medium? Do tell....I have my notepad |

Sometimes it sucks being nice! I get told by my friends I am too nice to people. People also take advantage of it.
I say just be who you are. If people don't appreciate your niceness than they don't deserve your time anyways! :) |

people who are worth being around will appreciate who you are.why be friends, or a boyfriend to someone who takes advantage of a good person?

but then that dikchead gene comes out... no? I mean if I pick and choose who I'm cool with..? |

it takes being on a certain maturity level to truly appreciate good ppl. i was one of those b****es that would take advantage of a good guy but that was after years of being a good girl and getting walked on. now i realize that its the good guy that i want. and like kaylala said.: the people that walk on the good guys arent worth your time...... until they grow up.

People who're looking for the important qualities will appreciate what you offer but those who make their choices based on what's exciting and titillating are gonna be turned off by niceness.
Also, a lot of women may have a natural distrust of the nice-guy personality since some of the worst creeps they've known hid behind a nice-guy front. It's like the old saying, "the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know." |

age is just a number..... you could be 55 and still not be mature enough to realize that nice guys are not door mats. maybe i should have used the word immature as opposed to young. and its true that men can be that way as well.
