Success with online dating is kind of dependent on how well you present yourself. It's really objective because women are looking for someone they find interesting based on a few pics and a paragraph, so that makes a little bit more challenging. Because of this being a free site that isn't advertised nearly to the extent that a site you pay for like Eharmony or Match.com is, it's likely to get fewer new members. Some people are also wary that a free site may attract scam artists and it sometimes does. I've had my best success putting up good pics and writing witty replies (when appropriate), but sometimes you will just get a read/delete or maybe even someone blocking you even when you have written a good reply. Mutual Match doesn't always work either, but it helps and it does make things easier than plentyoffish. Plentyoffish however... has a personality and chemistry test that gives you a slightly better idea of who a person is. I haven't had any luck on that site though, and my profile is slightly more complex than it is on here. I seem to have the best luck on Mingle2, so I guess that's where I'll focus my attention for right now.

100 Dates
Several years ago in one the major women's magazines (I am sorry I did not remembert the name of the magazine)there was a article about a woman that was determined to find a marriage partner so she used internet dating sites and went on 100 dates. After one year of searching she found someone and was eventually married to him.
This means that she had 99 NOT so good dates.
This sounds exhuasting but on the other hand if you meet someone at Star Bucks for 30 minutes, that is not too much time out of one day.

What you put it is what you get back... well, not always, but it does increase the probability. I messaged somebody who hadnt been on this website for over a year.... didnt hear back, as expected, but still had dreams of talking to her. I sent another message maybe a month or two later, and whaddya know... she got at me. Now, things are great.. better than I woulda hoped and it kinda freaks me out... I did not think I'd be falling in love again. Ya just never know....

Agree, there has to be determination involved with dating and there can be rejection for men as well as women.
What I am often hearing here on the threads is something like this "I met 3 people from online dating sites and they were all awful date experiences". Hmmmmm 3.....hello....3 is not too many people to meet
there are 6.5 billion people in the world and I know MANY must be single.
