Late night. Early morn

The sun running into the moon

This time of day has no reason
Except to let words flow
There is no one alive now
The world lays sleeping
As I fight the awakeness that haunts me

Insomnia takes it's grip on me
Of which I can't escape
Waiting for the brightness of day
To reclaim me once again

Total darkness and quiet stillness abound
Except for the sound of others sleeping and infomercials
Keeping me company

I pray to the godess of sleep
To take me in her arms and sprinkle
Me with the sands of slumber
Letting my mind rest if for only a minute

Insomnia in my mind
