Simon says originated from latin, the latin version was ,"Cicero dicit fac hoc" this means Cicero says do this. Cicero of course being the famous ancient philosopher, statesman, lawyer, political theorist, and Roman constitutionalist.

The tradition behind the game may trace back to the year 1264, when Simon de Montfort captured King Henry III at the English town of Lewes. For the next year, any order Henry III gave could have been countermanded by de Montfort. The child, suffered from a form of epilepsy and consequently died. Some households within Leicester (specifically homes surrounding the Castle), as investigated by the Living TV Show Most Haunted, were said to have paranormal activity in connection with a child spirit. |
