I'm not sure what constitutes "tinkering."

I know there are those who preach the idea of making your profile as attractive and palatable as possible so as to be more appealing to the readers.

But I think there's a huge difference between an editorial brush-up and a massive reconstruction resulting in a disingenuous facade.

My attitude has always been: If you like my profile, fine. If not, that's OK, too. It isn't going to change anything either way, and it's not worth my time to make up a bunch of fictional drivel just to get some girl I'm never going to meet anyway to send me an e-mail or two.

It is what it is. I update it sometimes. But I'm not going to try to skew it to cater to anybody....
