It has been awhile since I have had to look for a job. I was wondering what web sites worked for folks. I had found my last job posting on Monster. I would especially be interested in technical based job sites. Of course, feel free to make smart azz comments I could use the laugh......smokin

I wouldn't know. 7 years ago when the company I worked started downsizing I promised myself not to be a victim. I started a company while I was working for this multinational and slowly I built it up.

In 2003 when eventually I got downsized I started in my office the next day and never looked back. I am not making a lot of money but I write my check at the end of the month and I am not likely to downsize myself

You will never make it to any size big or small working for someone else

I've never used any of the job seeking web sites. they always seem like a lot of work at home scams to me

what I did do is a google search for companies in my field (photonics) in my area and have always come up with lots of leads. the last job I got laid off from, the vice-president of research drove me over to another company to meet their president and told him he should hire me (he did). I thought that was pretty cool

but either way, good luck

right as I went into kidney failure and had to leave we were building the large scale wavefront sensors to do quality control (flatness) on the Webb telescope mirrors. I hated leaving that one
