sensitivity is not a gender thing, it is a result from how you are
raised. Most men are TAUGHT it is not MACHO to be sensitive. "Real men
don't cry/Be a man/don't be a sissy"
Heard them all. Yet I have met men as sensitive as any female I have
ever known.

Personally, since I have allowed myself to be sensitive, I have found
those feelings. I realized that I control me & to hell with what others
thing.

I CHOSE to be closed & cold
I CHOSE to be open & cry.

Sensitivity is all CHOICE.

I've found that a lot men are far more sensitive, but less likely to
show it outwardly to the general public.

Plus, I think most people equate being sensitive with being "able" or
likely to cry. I think other emotions can indicate sensitivity, like
anger, for instance, which is an emotion men are more likely to express,
because it's considered "macho."

Woman are more sensitive....both can be sensitive but when it comes down
to it woman are...

Women are more sensitive...by gender. Men have to learn and work at it.
it is possible though...just look at me :)

I agree with Sage, it is a matter of social conditioning and ultimately
personal choice.

It takes a lot for me... but once the emotions start going i can get
pretty sensitive...who am I kidding

Both can be very sensitive depending on the person....it depends on how
they were "made"
