It is not within my power to fire him. He is a psychology student on a learning/intern rotation. I simply forwarded him mails to my boss and told my boss I was done trying to help him. As well, I said that at the moment I'm not willing to communicate with him at all. Here is his last one: No one was accusing you of accusing me. I meant only what I said. I apologize if you took my email in any way other than its intent as this was a message about impression management, and not accusations. This was SO passive aggressive, and was a reply to my apologizing if he took umbrage with my mail. I wouldn't have even done that, but his reply was very, very defensive. And my original mail clearly said just for reference, informational only. I mean, if he wants help with his training.... he's no longer getting it from me. |

And someday this guy will be helping people with mental health issues. I stand by my theory, most people in the mental health field are nuttier than the patients. be seeing you

I'm quasi-retired, I don't really get much feedback.

He is a PhD student, that's the scary part.
That impression management comment made me laugh. Dude must not know I share all communications with my boss, and this student guy clearly saw they were all cc'd to him too. I mean, he took home court property!!!!!! He acts as if I'm vague. Or that I've not told him things five times before. Arrrrggghhhhh! |

Where he can have an assistant follow-up after him. And he might not even know that you cc'ed your boss. Some people just don't pay attention. |

How do you like getting feedback at work? Are you the sensitive type? How do you give feedback? The same way I give it anywhere else. Honestly. When I am given feedback at work, it's normally in a good way. Respectfully. My boss knows that I am quick to pick up on things that need to be done and that I am pretty good at finding small ways to be more efficient. He also looks to me to help determine where product should go. I totally enjoy my job. :-) |

Dude is trying to be all nice to me now. Like I'm an idiot.
I can't wait for him to ask me for help now. I'm just going to say "No". Then return to what I was doing, which lately here tends to be fixing his mistakes. |

That's true. He was just in here, I ignored him.... It doesn't matter if its an intern or someone else.. do you really expect someone to be as 'perfect' as you are! |

It doesnt make much of a difference, because it rarely penetrates anyway.
I always know what to expect. |

I actually just expected him to listen and not argue with me. I'm trying to help him. Or rather, I was. There was a day he actually argued with me they were folders, not charts. No kidding.... argued. I had to ask him to leave. |

Yeah, I agree.
It's so sad. I still love what I do!! He is just going to be like a gnat now. My boss tends to just sweep stuff under the rug, he dislikes confrontation. I'm guessing that will change when this guy starts going to him for all the things I used to assist him with. |

Yep, he'll get tired of the intern going to him for stuff or having to fix stuff! |
