Definition of the Free Dictionary (by Farlex)
"compassion Noun a feeling of distress and pity for the suffering or misfortune of another" How much of it do you have? Just for people you call your friends? Or do you feel compassion for people you don't like much as well when they fall on hard times? Or do you, perhaps, laugh behind their backs, or mock them? Is that something that makes you feel better for yourself? How compassionate are you? |

I am probably too compassionate for my own good. That extends to anyone that is suffering including those I don't particularly care for.

If people fall on hard times and I do not know them I would not laugh behind anyones back. Nor would I mock them, because It could be me in their shoes and I would not want anyone to laugh or mock me. |

I stick by my friends through thick and thin, when they are down on their luck and having hard times is when they need ya the most!! I think anyone on Mingle that knows me will tell U I have a great amount of compassion for other folks, whether I know them or not!!

basically, if it is appropriate. If you shoot yourself in the foot, drive yourself to the hospital... and then are telling me the story afterword I am likely not to have much compassion for you... if you have recently lost your job due to staff reduction/layoffs/slow economy - I will have a lot of compassion... if you quit your job in a bad economy, I am likely to think you a fool.... so, for me - it's situational... |
