These days you can't even yell at your child in public or someone will call the cops on you. Kids can bring out the best and worst in a person but that is no excuse for beating them...sorry that happened to you.

I can't understand how parents can justify using a weapon on their children... Bare bottom spanking is perfect...the kid has some cushion...& the hand hurts just as much...

i got the hand, the belt even the big buckle side, a tree switch, screaming and yelling, tied up, gagged with a cloth diaper, locked in a shed for part of a day once , locked in my room several times. not for long amounts of time more than a day, got kicked.ps... who knows what else that i cant remember lol probabaly dont waant to.

dont be i think it made me a more patient parent... yes i did spank, but rarely, and a spank is 2 swats on the but with hand.. and noo my kids didnt get toys or a horsey ride for acting up like a spoiled brat in the stores lol.... they got taken out of the store and brought home... without the fruit chews lol... they went back to the shelf lol!

my mother abuses me to this day.... verbaly...cuts me down like always.. no matter how good im doing, she is just very negetive with everything... i learned i dont want to ever be that way... for i look for positive things in my life..for i replaced a boy baby that died right after birth... she was not to get pregnant for 2 yrs afterwards... and i was born before that 2 yrs... and i remember as early as the crib in my parents room.. that i was told why am i here? i was supposed to be a boy and im not good enough... they had the boy 2 yrs after me... however he was treated better still not treated good at all. but he got to do things i never did cause he was a boy....
