I have had the past 2 days off and now I work tonight and then have 2 more days off...getting a visitor and I can't wait...gonna have lots of fun

Hello Patti, it is strange not seeing you on here much. Hope your body is adjusting to the hours you are working. I hope it isn't as hot as yesterday. When I got off work I thought I was going to melt! I am sure Todd will have me on the back of the cycle most of the day so it is pretty nice that way. Hugs and best wishes for a wonderful weekend. Love to you Grammy. Hope Allen gets next weekend off? Does he ever get a day off during the week?

Hi (((Sherry))) I know it is strange for me not to be on here as well. My body is adjusting to the physical part of the job but not adjusting to not having sleep....hopefully that will come soon

Getting a visitor tomorrow so I am trying to clean up the apartment and get all the housework done so I can sleep when I get home before he arrives tomorrow and not be falling a sleep on him while he is here visiting

I hope it isn't too hot today as I work in a kitchen making food and its already hot in there.......

allen never gets time off i miss him but soon i hope things slow down hope he gets time off for our anv but well have more anv so i guess ill suck it up and be a big girl have a great time with todd today

Wanda I would make sure he got your anniversary off. It isn't until September 28th, that is plenty of time to make arrangements for him to spend some time with you. My goodness 40 years is a long time and should be treated with respect in these days and times the way they are.

Today is my sisters 38th birthday. I just talked to her and she was crying. I told her to dry up the tears and make the best of the day. It is the only day that she can be spoiled and not feel guilty about it. I remember 30 being very hard for me. The others just fell in line. I try to live my life with a positive attitude otherwise I would be crying all of the time. Have fun everyone. Make it a great day.

Hope you all are doing fine.We went to a few yardsales,I got Haley[granddaugther] 5 nice outfits for school] 75 cents each]just my price Dad put his car in a ditch and we were luckly that the guy next door drove a tow-truck and pulled the car out. It is just to darn hot here,most people are stayed inside. Sorry,I got carried away. I do hope everyone has a great weekend.

I just wanted to say thank you again to all the Angels who have touched my life this week. I am in a very scary place right now and I just don't know what more I can do. Alot of you know that I'm an alcoholic with 17 years of sobriety that I don't want to lose over this. Lately, it's very hard to do "the next thing". So I'd like to ask a favor -- could you say a prayer for me tonight asking your Higher Power (whoever He or She is) to keep me safe by not doing or saying anything stupid. I'm going to meetings and talking to my sponsor but it's just not enough. Thank you.

I wish I knew the magic words to say to make the urge to drink just go *poof* and disappear. 17 years of sobriety is a long time and I know the minute you swallow that first drink you'll regret it. Please, stay steady to the course. I am sending you my # to call anytime, day or night. We love you!

I'm not thinking of drinking Bug -- that won't solve anything and it will make things in my world worse than they are now (if that's possible LOL). It's just doing the right thing -- being a good person, trying to be a better person than the day before, etc. I'm always honest and I've always helped those around me who are worse off than me. But it's the idea of seeking help financially and being told there isn't anything we can do for you -- after 35 years of putting into the system where people healthier than myself have taken advantage of a "free lunch". Is it my race, that I'm a single woman alone with no children, my age? It's quite depressing and scary.
