Yep, that was my reaction as well. The weird part is that I went online to update my address info for my registration and my drivers license and the website didn't mention that there was anything wrong, maybe it won't show up on there. I also got calls from 2 other insurance companies, both ran my license number and neither mentioned it to me. They were more expensive so I wouldn't have changed anyway. The woman who said it was cancelled said that it was picked up by the police, funny that no police ever came to get it at either address.

You are very welcome, I am soooo sorry it was sooo late! The move and my son being home 24/7 prevented me from getting to the post office. I finally roped my sister in to taking it and getting it mailed for me.

We have two nominees for the month of September. I think rather than choosing one over the other, I am going to just split them between the pals. They are both very much in need of a little TLC right now and I just can't choose one over the other.

Actually, Robin...this is a GREAT idea! That way no one really ever knows they are the selected person (because they'll be sending a card to someone else too!)

Besides, doing something nice for someone else is often the best way to improve how you are feeling if you are struggling. Maybe every month there are at least 2 people who get selected?

Good morning pals. I think the two people is a great idea also Robin. You should have been a rocket scientist. Such a smart woman. Okay I opened my mail and am a little upset. I got transferred to another school to work at which is great with me because it is an elementary but it is only 6 hours a day and I got hired in at 7. Doesn't seem like much but it messes with my benefits!!! I can't wait until tomorrow so I can call and find out what in the world is going on. I am the only one trained to do the testing material for the entire school and the modifications into the computer for the special education students. Oh well as long as I get my 7 hours. Actually it is better for me. I need a change and the elementary students are more loving and caring and you stay busy the entire time. Sorry to vent but I was so upset when opening the mail. Out to mow the yard now. Love and hugs everyone.

Well, as I am going along I'm thinking it may be best to just open it up, accept as many candidates as are nominated and split the names between the pals.

I want to clarify...the Secret Pals are not necessarily the members who are nominated. This is open to ALL members here. So..if anyone knows of someone who is struggling right now, for whatever reason, please submit their name and address...please be sure you have their permission to share the address.

Okay, this is how this will work. Instead of exchanging gifts among the Secret Pals, I am seeking the names and addresses of members here through e-mail who other members feel could use a little extra help/support/encouragement. The Secret Pals will then send a card/gift/care package to them. If we get more than one name, I will split the names between the pals. I am currently seeking candidates for the month of September

Please do not openly 'nominate' a member here in this thread and please be sure you have their permission to share their address

The member(s) each month will not know who they are and will not know which pals are sending to them, until of course they receive their gift(s). The selected members' identity will only be known to the Secret Pals. They are welcome to acknowledge receiving their gifts here, or if they wish, they may do so privately in e-mail to the Pals from whom they receive. Pals...please do not write me and ask me to verify if a gift has arrived.

No money is to being sought and should not be sent. Gift certificates are okay.

If you would like to be a Secret Pal, please sign up here in this thread so that I can limit the e-mails to nominees only. I will keep an updated list of Secret Pals running here in this thread.

Secret Pals do not have to send every month. You can send once if that is all you wish to do.

I'm going to attempt to extend this beyond the states and see how it goes.
