I am right in the middle of it. I have never seen so much rain... Is your house okay? I am sure it is. I live in the highlands. Some of the lower lying areas are pretty bad. I is even worse over in Indiana... I'm glad to hear that your house is probably dry. |

Winx, I'm so sorry for your brother and all the people in Louisville. Been in some heavy rains...but nothing like that. My heart goes out to them all. CNN is showing it right now. WOW Thanks, Redshirt. I saw the footage of it too. Wow, is right. |

My brother lives in Louisville, Kentucky. They got 6 inches of rain today and the city is flooded. My brother works at a hospital there. The hospital has a gas leak and they are getting the patients out of there. The cafeteria is flooded with sewage. The toilets are backing up. He is at work and went outside and found water past the door of his 2 year old truck. He can't get home to see how his house looks. He rents out a house here and the tenants just moved out. That's a house payment. Now he can't work until the hospital is cleaned up. More rain is coming to Louisville! I can't even imagine 6 inches of rain in one day! Oh my gosh Winx. That is terrible!I hope your brother is going to be okayI will say a prayer Thank you, Mirror. I don't know what my brother is going to do. I can't call him because there's no way to re-charge his cell. Ever since the ice storm it really bothers me when the power goes out. |

I sort of have a moment of panic where I'm thinking the power wont be back on for a week or so and that the electric companies will charge me an arm and a leg for getting it back |

I think I got sort of traumatized by it a little. And yes I have a little panic attack when the power goes out now. |

Mother Nature seems particularly cruel to Kentucky. What rain doesn't wash away is really beautiful. I am sure there is suffering all over the state not just Louisville. Will keep your brother and others in my prayers Winx.
I have often wondered what Sacramento would do because like New Orleans much of it is below sea level. I would really rather see our young people in the military helping our own at home. In Kentucky 1 in 6 are serving. Must be very hard on them to be so far away and see their families suffering. |

That's a lot of rain, last year as I recall the St.Louis area was hit pretty hard with rain and flooding.
I bet your brother will be OK in the end. |
