Yea, I get that I didn't read the fine print, last time I was on there, when my membership was up that was it! A bunch of emails asking me to extend but that was all. This LAST time they charged me $29.95 for each of two extra months, missed it the first time but caught it the second. Thought my 3 month membership was running kinda long but...anyway I contacted e-harm and raised a little hell, got one payment back from them. Then contacted my bank, did an inquiry and just found out I got my money back! YEA!!

If enough people do what I did maybe e-harm will stop using these sneaky practices. If you ask me e-harm sucks anyway. Goggle them and 'class action suits' WOW!

Yea, law suits are getting real popular these days, so I have heard. If I only didn't have a conscious.

Regardless if it was E-harmony or any other type of site even Books , CD's that you in fact order several of those type of things when you order the service they are stated within the print that they will in fact keep charging your account each month. You have to in fact call and cancel for the service to stop.

Even though E-Harmony happen to be the one you dealt with on this issue it is not uncommon for many services to do the same that is why it is always best to read the fine print and ask questions when you give others the authority to charge your account for their services.

BCA were classics at that, back in the 90's.

You would order four books for a nominal fee, then each month they would send you lots more, you would send them back and they still kept coming and then they would send debt collectors after you.

All because there was not a little box ticked about no more books.

It is bad and 'fine print' should be made large print, I feel for the elderly with poor eyesight who fell into this trap and it is shabby behaviour that I find lare corporations do.

Bad marketing, bad ethics and grab your money at any cost. BCA were reported to Watchdog and were exposed on TV, I believe the BBC aired the show.

They match you with the bi-polar opposite of who you are,
that's they're 'science'.

"Opposites attract."

no more 'pay to talk' sites for me. learned my lesson with yahoo. plentyoffish.com is good (for a non-pay site..)

I have had a profile up over there for two years and got exactly NOTHING as far as contacts...lmao

I think 3 people have actually looked at the profile.

match.com is getting sued as well because if you start an account and its free .... you don't know who is active or not and you don't know who can contact you back or not. so you may be paying out the nose... and find someone you want to talk to and they are not active. but you don't know that.

so yeah..

LAWSUITS A KIMBO!!

So true! And they don't really match you at all. In 5 months (two free as it turns out although I really largely ignored the last two, else I've have seen the first extra charge) In 5 months only one man ever sent me first questions and NOT one answered when I sent them to him, whoops - one, now I am trying to break up with him because we are so ill suited! 39 deep dimensions my sweet little backside!

I'm convinced E-Harmony just sends you anyone in your search criteria that's local. It really had no difference from here, except for the price and no forums. BLAH! I finally got kicked off (usually not such a "rebel"....laugh ) for trying to hide my email addy within the blurb. Was a waste of time and money for me. Yes, it's safer, in a sense......but people can still fake their way through the initial questions and still turn out to be wackos. It's not like they use background check or anything.

" Cattle market " or " meat market "???

The first thing that popped into my head when I read " cattle market " would get me into an AWFUL lot of trouble around here....lmao
